Seeing how many people seem really scared of a possible win by Trump, apparently I am the only one thinking Trump is all talk, a showman. No, he will not build a wall against the Mexican border and make Mexicans pay for it, nor will he deport all muslims from the country etc. It was all just talk.

Hence, I am not really expecting much of changing with US, regardless of who wins. Maybe the biggest change might be with US relations with other countries, ie. Clinton would possibly be more active with foreign policy than Trump. Or who knows.
Oh yeah, my complaint. Damn everything seems to get broken at the same time, so I need to fix and buy for big money. Pretty recently:

- My car needed a 1000€ fix (mainly regarding the brakes, the price included also general check-up and maintenance for the whole car).

- My washing machine was starting to break down, so I bought a new (and bigger) one for about 900€ (including delivery). To add salt to the injury, a week after I bought that 12kg machine, that same store put it on discount which would have saved me 100-150 € or something like that (I don't recall exactly how much it was discounted).

- A couple of days ago I noticed my car's license plate is falling off. It seems the holder for the plate has for some reason broken up from the right side, so now it is hanging only from the left side anymore. I made some quick fix so that it stays at least in level, but I guess I need to get someone to fix it properly. Hopefully the holder is a cheap part.

- Yesterday my refrigerator broke down suddenly. No idea what the problem is, but green light is not lit anymore and the refrigerator part doesn't seem to cool down anymore (the light inside the refrigerator works). At the same time, the lower part, the freezer, seems to work fine?

I first hoped maybe there is just some fuse which has blown up inside the refrigerator (because the freezer part works fine) so I googled a bit and looked inside, but I didn't become any wiser so I guess I just need to buy a new one (refrigerator + freezer, not sure if i buy a combined one again or separately so that I can get a bigger refrigerator). HereForBeer, any ideas? Weren't you a handyman?. I checked e.g. this video (the same parts on my model are actually on top apparently), but as said I had no idea what to check. I couldn't tell what part would have been a "fuse", if any.

Luckily for me, the apartments have some cooler room downstairs (mainly for people who want to preserve berries and mushrooms there I presume; I've occasionally used it during some bigger parties if there hasn't been enough space in my medium size refrigerator) so I brought my groceries there safe (milk, meat etc.), and also I guess I can take some stuff to the balcony as well as now the weather has become colder here (-4 Celsius degrees or so).

What next, probably our dishwasher croaks next? And then the TV? And then, have mercy, my gaming laptop?!?

It's actually his supreme court appointies that I would be really worried about, as well as the vice president.

If you don't mind going to the balcony for your food, get a cheap food-safe storage box (somewhat better, but more expensive would be a cooler). With the temperatures you're having, use it instead of your fridge as long as it stays cold outside. For stuff that doesn't need to stay frozen, you can store it there as long as it doesn't get above 5°C I'd say. Just keep it in the shade to be safe on top. Would lower your power bill a bit.

Ah ok, good point. I keep forgetting what are all the things the US president will decide.

Oh well, I'd be surprised if Clinton doesn't win. Maybe as a furriner I am hoping Clinton to win because, as said, she'd probably be more interested into international matters as well. Plus, if it is really true that Trump is buddy-buddy with Putin...

Yeah, the problem now is that I'd need temporary refridgerator space (+5 C or so), rather than freezing temperatures because my freezer still works fine for some reason, it is the upper fridge space that is now warm. So I'd prefer it was now a bit over 0 C outside, rather than below. I don't like frozen milk or vegetables. :)

The winter here can be capricious, it wasn't that many weeks ago when it was probably over +10 C degrees, but now it suddenly sunk to -6 or so. Who knows, next week it could be +8 C for all I know. So in that sense using the balcony as the extra freezer or fridge space is a bit "stressing" unless you like your food getting frozen and defrosted repeatedly, and frankly the freezing temperatures here aren't usually cold enough for longer periods of times (just having like -5 C doesn't cut it for longer deep freezer storage). A freezer should be at least -18 C, and it rarely gets that cold here outside at least for a whole day.

Since I don't feel like constantly going to the lower floors of the house where the common "fridge room" is just to get milk, I keep my often needed fridge stuff in a portable (passive) icebox with a couple of ice bricks inside. If I think it might be becoming too warm, I change a couple of fresh ice bricks inside and maybe put it outside for a few hours.

Anyway, now looking for a new refridgerator (and freezer) from www.gigantti.fi

I see what you mean, frozen milk/yogurt/veggies - that's not ideal. Have used the outdoors before instead of a fridge, but temperatures there rarely went below zero long enough so that stuff got frozen. And I didn't need it to be frozen either. It didn't translate into much money saved on power (but then, I wasn't using a freezer), but I liked getting my particular refrigeration needs met utilizing mother nature.

Are they anti-transsexual and anti-SJW?
Playing Phantasy Star 3, and I discovered something strange that required extra backtracking to fix.

You can use an Escapipe to escape the starting dungeon after breaking the escort sequence; to do this, talk to the person on the other side of the jail door from as far away as possible. Then, at the end of the dialog sequence, hold up; the game will appear frozen for a while, but then you regain control. Using an Escapipe here allows you to loot the dungeon and still continue the game (the person blocking the town's entrance will be gone).

*However*, if you do not visit the technique distribution shop in town afterwords, when you get to Shusoran Castle, and get to the end of the dungeon, Lena will not be there and the event that is supposed to happen will not occur, preventing you from continuing the game. To fix this, you need to go all the way back to Landen, then enter the technique distribution shop (you will temporarily lose control of your character), then go back to Shusoran. Note that there is a dungeon on the way, so you have to go through it 2 extra times, and then you have to repeat the castle if you got that far. (At least it is possible to fix this.)
So I bought a new fridge and freezer, separately this time because I want more fridge space (our earlier fridge was usually full to the brim at least right after I had bought groceries for the rest of the week). I bought the cheapest tall (185cm) models they were selling:

The fridge: http://www.gigantti.fi/product/kodinkoneet/jaakaapit/RJKL3000/rosenlew-jaakaappi-rjkl3000-185-cm

The freezer: http://www.gigantti.fi/product/kodinkoneet/pakastimet/RPP2330/rosenlew-pakastin-rpp2330

I'm not sure if I really need that big freezer, but oh well, why the heck not? It is not like I'd save space or anything if it was half the size, it would still take the same floor space.

Together with delivery and them taking my old fridge away, it cost a little over 800€. Damn these unexpected expenses just keep cropping up... The seller tried very hard to sell me a more expensive fridge by pointing out that the cheap model doesn't have multi-air flow control and whatever, causing the temperature not staying constant both on different levels of the fridge nor over time. Yeah sounds nice, but I just don't want to use more money on it, sorry. This will have to do even if its temperature will fluctuate.

Now I am angry because the price of the freezer seems to have dropped by 30€. I paid 379€ for it, now it shows 349€ on the store page. The exact same thing happened with the washing machine I bought from them a couple of weeks ago, its price became (considerably) cheaper right after I had bought one from them.

Are they trolling me?

It might be time to start shopping at a different store.

Maybe consider going back to the store and talking to the person that sold it to you about refunding the overnight price-drop difference. After all you just made a substantial purchase. Can't hurt to ask.
