Well here's the problem coz I did ask my girl...She didn't seem all that happy about me shaving my head off. Maybe I am fretting over this a little too much as it's not very noticeable. I"ll get a crew cut though coz it would enable minoxidil to be more effective.....

1: No woman will leave you or refuse to sleep with you because your balding.
2: More hair doesnt make you look younger
3: You may get results from Rogaine but eventually your girl WILL find the box
4: Hairpieces and comb-overs make an enemy of many beautiful things in life, like a midnight swim, a summer breeze and fingers through your hair.
5: Clean shaven heads are no longer restricted to Batmans archenemies and circus Strongmen.
6: your hair loss is the result of an excess of testosterone, literally the essence of manliness.
7: Balding men look smarter
8: The balder you are the less prone you are to a bad hair day or hat head.
9: Forty % of men show signs of balding by the age of 35 and 65 % by 65.
10: There are no bald politicians
Make of that what you will :-D
I read your post and I think your situation is 'pretty fucked up'....I am not going to say that I understand because that would be pretentious and it is difficult for me to even begin to imagine what you have been through.Don't give up yet though....I really do hope that things better for you .
FooAtari: Nice post reaver894 :)
Lionel212008,
I didn't find the hair loss on my head a bid deal. And it might not all fall out, some people just find it thins a little. It depends on the person and the type of chemo you are receiving. i Mine started to fall out quite heavily so I just shaved it all off before I got to the stage where I looked I was balding.
It also depends what comes out. A shaved head looks fine. I don't particulalry suit it, and I have a huge scar on the side of my head from brain surgery, so I look like a bit of a mentalist. For a start it looks odd simply because you are not used to the look. But you do get used it.
It's your eyebrows/lashes comming out thats worst as that's when you really look ill I'm afriad. But again it doesn't happen to everyone.
And the funny one is when your short and curlies go. Suddenly you look like a 12 year old and have to go through puberty all over again when it starts to grow back!
I'm 30 BTW. My health problems started when I was 16. Sure it's effected my life. I can't drink and things but so what, I still enjoyed my life growing up. I have a lot of baggage these days. Even before the cancer I had to regular hospital appointments, take a lot of tablets etc etc. But I got married just before the problems that led to cancer diagnoses started (got ill on honeymoon and had to come home early) so someone thought I was worth the hassle :) And while obviouslly life would be better without caner, my wife and I have a much stronger relationship because of it
