For NOW displaying prices in CAN and not letting us know before hand that your site was based in usd.
Thanks.
All this time I've heard you guys had price parity, but that clearly was bs.
No longer will I buy anything from this site as steam is much cheaper and you failed to display the currency your games were in. Like EVERY OTHER SITE DOES.
I would have NEVER purchased anything from you guys if I knew it was in american.

Ps, no one should have to go rooting through the whole legal, website faqs, & the policies to see what currency you're prices are displayed in. No idea why certain websites fail to put USD right before the $ sign, it's not that difficult to do.

You can change the displayed currency in the bottom right of the page. Gog gives you money for the gog wallet to make up price differences. (Though not in every case)
The dollar sign should be right in front of every price, at least that is the case for euro.

You're very welcome. We will continue to do as we are doing. We take pride in our uniqueness compared to all other sites.

(The point of this post is that I dislike sarcasm and consider it to be lying, so I decided to treat your "thanks" as though it were a sincere thanks.)

They are not complaining that they have to pay more than people from the USA, but that they don't get the discount that Canadians get on Steam. So it means no store credit for them. I wonder why so many Canadians think they are entitled to a discount though.

I wasn't even aware they were supposed to get one.

I'm not sure where he got the price parity.

I'm more surprised by the fact it took them over 3yrs to realise that the prices they were paying were in US dollars and not Canadian. I mean, surely at least one of their receipts should have tipped them off.
GOG's prices are fair. With the store credit everyone pays at most the US price. However some regions might be disadvantaged compared to other marketplaces.
Yo, Canadians, make up your mind! Before you were all complaining for not being able to pay in CAD. And now that you can, you're still complaining. What gives?

You've been registered here for three and a half years, but you just now noticed this? Didn't the fact that your credit card/Paypal receipts (which I assume are displayed in CAD) showed a different price tip you off that currency conversion might be taking place?

And as far as I'm aware, they have never claimed to match prices with Steam or anyone else (if that's what you meant by "price parity").
Up until a couple years ago, they didn't have special regional prices at all; they had made a point of offering each game at a flat price, meaning every customer paid the same price (in U.S. dollars), regardless of where they lived.
And all these years I thought Canadians were just cuddlier Americans?

I doubt this person speaks for very many of his countrymen. :D
