jdsgn: I'm still digging in the first dungeon where I found some secret room with a Mona Lisa painting.
To the other direction, I found something strange. There is a dungeon with very hard enemies, day and night alike and the entrance consists of a material that cannot be mined. ??

Lillesort131: Might this be it: http://terraria.wikia.com/wiki/Lihzahrd_Temple?
You will need to complete most of the game in order to get in there (or teleport). Please note that it can't be destroyed by explosives.
Ha, no, I'm far from having anything finished. I have not fought a single boss, my current weapon is a tungsten sword...
1.3 news
Cenx Today has leaked out another spoiler of the 1.3 Update coming sometime in 2015!
Looks interesting.
They've posted a new trailer and a bunch of details on the game in this thread:

Definitely some interesting Infos here
I'm still not even sure I know what Terraria is and they're making a second one? (I always see people mention it and while I haven't played Minecraft either I'm guessing it's similar to that?). Are these games like open sandboxes with player based goals? Overarching narrative?
Will there be a GOG version in the future?

It's like Minecraft in 2D. No plot. Just some bosses to fight when you feel like it.
If you want to try a Terraria with plot, you can try Windforge. The game's bugs have been fixed so the low-star rating doesn't make sense now. I've been playing the game and enjoying it.

I liked Terraria, but the lack of plot and goals turned me off.

Watch a let's play video on YouTube. It's 2D and more advenure-exploration oriented than Minecraft with a few missions such as unlocking bosses, locations and items

I actually never thought about it as I had so much fun playing but I also became heavily addicted. Hopefully Terraria Otherworld will bring an overaching story like they promise in the article as that would be something they can greatly expand on.

I also hope for more buildable systems like how people built intricate pumping systems and monster farms. :)

Yeah, if it was Terraria with a story it'd be awesome.
Apparently, Terraria 1.3 is coming sometime around June.

Our goal is to have Terraria 1.3 ready for release in June 2015

So by the time Starbound enters the alpha phase of their second beta phase and gets bogged down in 1,000,000 useless decorations and guns?

Yeah, like they haven't made those kind of promises before.
