Can someone please recommend a game that is very simular to TOEE or better?

You can try Dark Sun: Shattered Lands which is available here as part of the Dungeon & Dragons: Dark Sun Series as well as Knights of the Chalice, however the latter is only available from the Heroic Fantasy Games website.

It IS a very cool game. I love the focus on building a party and traditional dungeon crawling. Plus I'm a HUGE fan of the non-hex based movement - I wish more turn based games would incorporate a "radius based" movement limit.

Actually I kind of like the power / action interface as well. It gets a bit busy in the D&D setting with so many options, but I could imagine it really being stellar in something a bit more "simple."

I haven't played it but maybe something like Dungeon Rats will scratch the itch? I LOVED the combat in Age of Decadence and Dungeon Rats is more of it, in spades. I think it might lack a bit of the story, and the environments are probably a lot more claustrophobic, but as far as a combat heavy, turnbased TBS game with a deep fighting system this one might do it for you.

Wasteland 2 is good turn based role playing game. It is a post apocalyptic game instead of fantasy.

Maybe check out Wizardry 8?

Have you played the other completed modules yet? Or the rebuild? You may have more like to toee.

The closest game I've played is Divinity original sin.

Nothing is quite like toee, but the way that Divinity original sin stack elements and what not make their turn based play very fun.

Knights of Chalice and Dark Sun are the two closest in terms of game mechanics and implementation of D&D combat.
