Hi

I want to know telltale games will back at gog for example tales of monkey island sam and max and more

Thanks
Very unlikely that they will ever be back anywhere. Telltale filed for bankruptcy, fired all employees and is now pretty much defunct.

Well, technically there is a possibility that within a couple decades some "new NightDive" comes along, finds the IP owner and pays them for the rights to at least some of these games. Then all they would have to do is create new contracts with the owners of the characters — for example Steve Purcell for Sam and Max, or Disney for Monkey Island. Only then they could enter agreements with Gog and any other store to sell these games again. It is a risky venture and there's a lot of groundwork to be done before the first cent comes in.

So yeah, don't hold your breath. They probably won't ever see the light of day again.
Wasn't it already confirmed that some of their games are coming back?

(Not necessarily to GOG, but let's stay hopeful).
There is a possibility the new Telltale Games (LCG Entertainment who bought the assets of Telltale and will continue the brand) will decide to sign with GOG to bring back a selection of the games to the store, but the exact titles depends on third party licensing, since some rights have reverted to the original rights holders and need to be re-negotiated, while others were still retained and transferred in the assets sale.

No word yet (as far as I am aware) whether LCG Entertainment is interested in selling games on GOG.com (I hope they are).

LCG Entertainment bought remnants of Telltale's assets and re-launched the company in August 2019. Some games are "saved", while others remain unavailable.

The new company has no prior relation to old Telltale, and thus has no obligation towards settling old Telltale's debts and responsibilities. In a move that has received mixed receptions, LCG Entertainment has only offered contract work to some past employees of old Telltale. Clearly, they are trying to keep operational costs down, while it establishes itself.

Which is obviously the right decision. Only an idiot would try to overspend before they even have a source of revenue.

I didn't know about LCG. Well that changes things considerably. Thanks uchristensen and ConsulCaesar
If I were to imagine those games coming back as Epic Store exclusives would I be making too much of a haphazardly guess?

I don't want it to happen but... it's a possibility sadly.

Well, so far they release their games on Epic and Steam, but not on GoG, so it's "bummer!" in any case.
If I REALLY have to choose between these two, I'll pick Epic.

Necro!

And just a few of their games or on Steam/EGS, far from all of them.

I call it a "update" (that's why "so far" is in the post).

Who ever claimed "all of them"?

Point is, they don't release them on GoG, do they?
