ScummVM recently(October 2021) added the game and several other dosbox based games that GOG sells. Owners might want to back up their dosbox versions in case GOG ever decides to "upgrade" them to ScummVM only.

LOL, I love JRPGs as well as WRPGs and CRPGs In short I love RPGs, even goofy satirical wifu/otaku flavored ones!

Yeah, the perv aspect usually isn't a selling point for me as the highly stylized faces are usually a great disconnect in order to consider anything truly sexual, nothing arousing about it at all, same with 3D models, now if it were real-life pics and videos then that would be different, but at that point, I'd rather watch a proper porno than have it in my game! ;)

And yeah, about the time it takes to actually get past the exposition and play the fuckin' game already, (Particularly with steam games as their shitty refund clocks in at only 2 hrs) that has been getting longer, and longer as time went by, usually due to modern JRPGs taking on a bit of the popularity of visual novels that are pretty popular with the Japanese!

again, nearing the end of the 3d requiem, a completely different game this time. Disabling 'scaling' ( a garantueed balanced out opponent in every scenario ) made for some surprises. The difference is really noticeable. Went with Thor Thunderhammer this time, discovered a previous unnoticed button where you can train troops when encamped ( and I was a beta tester, imagine that ;-) () Lost 3 heroes, including the one that made you king, the best battlebro of your father and some Troll .... and of course a whole different set of artifacts to play with. Almost forgot, different choices along the line also made for a unhealthy spirit/land connection and no eagles so far....

still.... commanding this troop of about a hundred men, half a dozen trolls, 5 special breed wolves is satisfying to say the least.

Finally trying out Kingdom: Two Crowns. Awesome game with an incredible atmosphere.

The ending tones of the 3d requiem where as devastating as one might expect. Loss, Accomplishment, Failure and Salvation where present in equal measure, leaving with the promise of an enlargement of the experience in full.

The ragtag band of followers that managed to survive seem to indicate that life expectancy on the front line is as short as one might imagine when listening to stories from the past or maybe not so long ago. Life is as cheap as the simple decision you need to make when avoiding a small obstruction on your path. " Do I go left? or do I go right? " Simple questions that seem to hold no large observations but can be all together mighty destructive without any sign upfront.

At this point Morale is at an all time low, this can be altered artificially how-ever. We all know that there is no simple medicine from straying to far from home but, simple medications such as a belly warming drink or a soft touch now and then might be enough to obscure the pestering wound growing underneath.

A big surprise was the revelation that the hatching grounds from the eagles are still well within reach, after which a visit to the dragon islands is a promise to be held. From there another choice is to be made.

Having a lot of fun with Kingdom Two Crowns!

- Taking my troops to kill a dock portal. This allows you to build a lighthouse, so that you don't have to rebuild your ship upon revisiting the island.
- Reached winter for the first time
- Base during winter
- Leading a massive wild board towards my troops. It spawns once during winter, and nets you a lot of coins when killed. It's quite useful, as income during winter is severely reduced.
- The monster that somehow took my last crown...

Coming closer to the end in Kingdom: Two crowns

- Defending against a blood moon attack wave
- Leading my troops into a cliff portal with a big bomb
- Facing wave after wave of enemies on the other side of the portal
- Light the fuse and run like hell!
- Cliff portal destroyed, with the kidnapped granny being spit out in the process

Left the game alone for just a couple of days, today i thought, let's go.....
So imagine you have this little nagging sister, she's a whole bunch of trouble. Especially now she's the sister of the guy who gathered all the tribes under one banner. Blind and pretty fragile at that.... Even a dragon mount could not fix the fragile part. Every dragon we fought so far was impossible to take out of the sky but no, not this one... So, out of neglect you pushed a unit to much forward possible endangering the guy, so you think, nah, i don't wanna loose 'm and it seems that the opposition is not all to big..... anyways long story short, some scorpion mixed with a crossbow of sorts and 2 companies of armored bowmen shot the dragon, plus my sis out of the sky.... end of story ;'(

Flushing the FG 2 hangover away with a game that's been collecting dust on the shelves for quite some time now.
Valkyria Chronicles

The game starts as a true gem. Zooming in on small country in this alternate earth universe which might be Poland in ours. Presenting the start of a 2d world war. All done in familiar sights to any historic documentary watcher. Blackenend arrows moving from a starting point to a destination, splitting up here and there. Accompanied by far telling labels such as 'Panz IXXX or 4th Army' telling a story of death and destruction. I'm even surprised by the portrayel of the story in the animated cutscenes. Innocent people gunned down etc etc immediately gaining the upperground on any present game labeled as adult story rich ( not to mistaken with the current wash down of adult porn stories flooding the streets of gamerland, seriously i enabled censorship on steam again after being presented with another rape game where this lonely girl who has to take care of her little brother is taken prison and used as a fuck doll, prostituted even.... a bit to much realism ya know anyways .....) where conversations are abundant but rarely manage to hit ground in a ... adult kind of way, at least not seen through the eyes of any adult i presume. Graphics wise, the game holds up pretty nicely and audio... well it is sega, not Square but certainly not nintendo ;)
