This is almost criminally fun. Though I definitely prefer playing as a normal teammate.

Caved and decided to check out Fall Guys. It's frighteningly fun and addictive, if frustrating at times when everyone bumps into one another. E.g. everyone is trying and failing to scale a wall by jumping on a positioned block. Recognizing the hopelessness of the situation I go and fetch another block and move it into position, but before I can jump on it I get knocked out of the way until I'm almost the last over the wall. Still came in 2nd though, somehow...

I fear I had was that it might not run well, since it kind of reminded me of slime rancher, which runs atrociously on my system. Luckily though it seems to be very well optimized and runs silky smooth.

Back to Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Too bad the game still has bugs after all this time. Every patch that fixes known bugs introduces some new ones. I fear that this game will never be fully patched.

Been a while since I've visited this thread. Lots of good stuff added. Part of the reason I love this topic is getting new ideas for games to try out. I've been playing through Hellblade, which I got right here on GOG a few years back and just never played. So far it has been, without a doubt, one of the most disturbing, frustrating, and... amazing games I've ever played. Definitely look into it if you're in the market for something different.

It's also incredibly beautiful! :) Come back (or to the game specific subforum) when you reach the end, it's great reading about how each one of us experimented it.
A few more shots from Hellblade.

I finished it today. Pretty intense and I'm still not sure if everything that happened... actually happened. Hearing what Senua finally had to say at the "reveal" was pretty powerful and I'm glad it ended the way it did. I'd try to go into more detail, but every single time I try and use spoiler tags on these forums, they never work. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to play through again. The nature of the game seems like it won't even remotely be the same the second time through. I'm definitely looking forward to the next game.

It's an example of how writing and acting make a difference and how videogames can be considered art.

Absolutely. I honestly don't know what to play after that. There aren't many games that have a story that will gut punch you like Hellblade (I mean that in a good way). I also really like a game with a female protagonist that looks like a normal human being and can be an absolute badass at the same time. Maybe Horizon Zero Dawn, that game has a great story but it's nowhere near as dark and disturbing (at least, not in the same way).

Cargo: The Quest for Gravity

Currently the only Ice-Pick Lodge game I haven't tried yet. Considering this was the first thing I see after taking control... it definitely seems as strange as I should have expected. Perhaps more than usual from the developer.

Was up at midnight. Could not sleep. Played a bit of Spiritfarer. Then a bit of Witcher Wild Hunt.

Got a cat sidekick in Spiritfarer. And my Geralt is sporting the feline school gear and armor set. Not sure what to make of that. ;)

Just as I was admiring the giant moon in the sky, a black raven (I think?) and a shooting star photo bomb my screen capture. One is an omen; the other is a wishing star...
