ok, The free AC odyssey weekend gave me mouth water. So I tried AC 2 because in the 1 I can't steal the purse from the start.

I met the team of 2, starting with a manipulator who already threw herself around my neck with the airs of a smoothness. I saw the asshole of the team who don't like me from the start and the scientist who has a pride inversely proportional to her sexy attractions. I thought I could do a little sleep since the equipment is there, but no, it's not in the script, too bad.
So good, the fight ok but then impossible to jump or run ... as for the purse in AC 1.

Is it worth it to try the AC 3 ??

Well I'm glad I didn't buy them and I was right not to do so when they were released: it's not for me, I'm a PC player.

Train to Erebonia... aka Trails of Cold Steel 3

Most of the opening hours is spent exploring and talking rather than fighting. As it should be. ;) Also, what's Gwent? =P

Slashing my way through Shadow Warrior 2013.

Undecided which enhancement to pick. These things in games are something you learn by playing the game and trying out those that sound like they might be something for you (or me in this case).

Holy fugly film grain filter, Batman! =P Luckily, it's optional. Never understood the point of these effects other than hiding the ugly truth of console limitations of the era.

I'm not sure why, but I like it :) Perhaps because it obscures the lower graphical settings a bit :P
Ben There, Dan That!

Very amusing, wish there was voice acting!

I'm jealous! :P It's one of my favourite games, even if i enjoyed the first one better. Haven't played the third one due to Origin, so naturally i've been waiting for a GOG release of it.

I like it too; i find that it adds to the atmosphere somehow. Wouldn't play without it to be honest.

*Maybe semi-spoilers...possibly*

Make sure to have a guide handy for the endgame(and recruit all companions)....if you want to make the right choices and have all of them make it, that is(the game is setup so that ONLY certain choice in end game will allow your companions to live).

Also upgrade ALL ship upgrades(you get to ability to ask each companion for one upgrade idea after a certain point in the game).

*End maybe spoilers*

It is...also as with other such games one can try items from one area on things in other areas....leading to some fun dialog.

Luckily I don't have a great memory, so I'm already looking forward to a semi-fresh second playthrough, but with all DLCs, sometime in the future :)
As to which is better? That's difficult. Some things are far better in ME1, like the much larger and open levels/locations, and some things are better in ME2, like (most of) the sidequests. Perhaps the endgame as well? Still, if pressed I'd probably also lean towards ME1 being better, but it's pretty close for me.

Epic and Blizzard has left such a bad taste in my mouth, Origin bizarelly seems much more tolerable for me these days :P So I'm thinking of doing a ME1->2->3 playthrough with a single infiltrator Shepard on Origin some day. Unless ME3 heads to steam and it's possible to somehow incorporate all the DLCs :P

Definitely agree to it adding to the atmosphere somehow. I'll only do a second playthrough on a proper rig, with maxed out settings, but I already know I'll play with the film grain :)

OT Finally finished the game - what a ride! Infiltrator all the way!

Thanks for the spoiler warning, but no need since I already finished the game :)

I did consult a guide when I 'inexplicably' lost Thane in the ventilation duct, thinking he'd be ideally suited for an infiltration mission. Learned it's actually very simple and I just missed that Miranda stated the job requires a tech expert, which Thane isn't. As long as everyone is loyal and you pick sensible people for the jobs then all 'should' make it.
I only lost Jack because I couldn't get her loyal before the final mission.
Legion did the vent job, Mordin the escort job (really wanted him for the final fight but was afraid to lose him) and Samara the biotic job. Garrus was the obvious choice for both secondary teams, and Garrus and Thane was by my pick for the final encounter.
