It´s nearly unbelievable how fast System Shock II invades this list:
http://www.gog.com/catalogue

At this time it´s just one step behind Ultima IX.
ULTIMA IX!!!

But while I´ve been watching how System Shock II enters the "Top 100" in less than one day, I´ve come to this question:
HOW OFTEN since their introducing Games like Ultima IX, Giana Sisters or Baldurs Gate II have been sold?

Their aren´t any sources to find!
I've been watching this too.

It has now passed Ultima IX.
ULTIMA IX!!!

UUUUULTIIIMAAAA NIIIINE

Hopefully SS2's rapid rising will encourage other companies holding back really wanted games. *cough*LucasArts*cough*
It has even passed the game above Ultima IX.
THE GAME ABOVE ULTIMA IX!!!

Go ahead, I'll watch. :P
It's #111 at the moment! In less than 24h

I think Theme Hospital reached its place (#15) relatively fast after the release but it cannot be compared with what's happening now!
If it passes Sacrifice in the first 3 days, Likurg will have a field day.
15h ago it was right under Carmageddon. While I thought SS2 would sell well, I never thought it would sell this well
Old stuff, but this may give you some references

It has passed MDK.

Ultima IX!!!!!
Between GOG and Steam I'm sure numbers will prove interesting enough for developers to get off their behinds and do this more often.
It's now on its way to surpass Deus Ex. Within 36 hours. Even considering that Deus Ex isn't on GOG for very long, that _is_ surprising.
There is no telling where this will end, anything is possible now!

System Shock 2 might eventually even surpass _itself_ in the sales charts! How's that even possible??? Nothing can surpass SS2, not even SS2 itself!

Not to mention that when it eventually reaches the top #1 position as the best selling GOG game ever, do you really think it'll stop there? Nah, its ranking will first proceed to #0 and then to negative positions!

Like they say, anything IS possible! Except the impossible, naturally.
