Potzato: I pinned that topic !
I read every one addition ... but I have to admit : I don't follow the bestseller list as closely as when SS2 was released.
Neither do I but I do still occasionally take a look at it. In fact every time I see a new post in this thread (I've pinned it as well) I immediately open up the list to see if it has gone up a notch. I do post an update anytime I've noticed a change, though.

Given that it hasn't had a sale yet I'd say its position is actually quite impressive.

As soon as it gets a sale, it will rock the list. Top 10 minimum, maybe it could even conquer #1, if timed right (together with a Steam release, for example).

tfishell: I find it interesting that SS2 is being "blocked off" by Ultima 7, which feels like a testament to how great U7 was. (I've never played it, but naturally I've heard fantastic things about it.)
It´s not blocked off by Ultima VII anymore:
Ultima VII has won one place ;)
Thanks to the EA sale, Syndicate has pushed SS2 down a spot.

Yeah but SHODAN's a tenacious one, she's back on top of Syndicate.

Numero 27 now.

Ultima VII moved up another place making NWN2 the next contender.
And System Shock 2 is now on Steam, for 7 bucks no less.

Wow, so finally GOGs Version is 0,70€ more expensive than Steam-Version on sale---I have to say only one thing:
Amazing pricing politics, GOG!
Steam has a 30% off as of now but it does not include the awesome extras of GOG. So, in my opinion GOG > Steam
I might end getting in both places just because... SYSTEM SHOCK
Still stuck at the 27th rank. I feel a tiny little bit disappointed.

System Shock 2 hasn't been on promotion even once so far. Most of the games above this point have been heavily discounted many times, part of too-good-to-pass-up bundles, or even been free for a day. Being 30% off elsewhere probably didn't help sales here either. If SS2 gets a 60%-off gem promo (and not too many already have it from Steam) then it should shoot up.

Barefoot_Monkey: or even been free for a day.
I don't think the "free" promos end up counting toward actual sales numbers on the GOG Bestsellers list. All of the "always been free" games are at the bottom of the list. Plus, those game that have been given away in the past (Duke, Empire Earth, Broken Sword 1) should all be Top 10ers if considering the giveaway promotions (heck, people are *still* handing out excess Duke codes that gifted to themselves), but they're not.
Now it has come to the point that most folks interested in buying Sys Shock II on full price on GOG proberbly already got it:
It´s now out of the current bestselling rpg-list for one week...
