Leroux: Hm, almost everyone likes Grim Fandango and Monkey Island, so that's not a lot to go by ... And having people suggest adventure games according to their own preferences isn't that much more helpful than browsing a game catalogue on your own, you'll still feel overwhelmed by choice and there's no guarantee that you will like the suggested games either.
Do you have certain preferences regarding the themes, the humor, the puzzles, the graphic style, the gamelength, the price, the places to buy it from etc.?
That's obviously a good point: I would like to try games that I can actually buy - I can wait and play other games while the old Lucas masterpieces are "out of market".
I'd appreciate to buy DRM-free games, even if a Telltale-like DRM would not be a big concern, here on GOG or if possible directly from the developer. Or on Steam, if it's impossible otherwise, but as said before, since there are so many good graphic adventures, I can afford to wait.
Nonetheless, I've seen some recurrent names that I will surely check: Sanitarium (which I bought), Broken Sword, Deponia, Gabriel Knight.
I would like to see how the genre is "evolving" nowadays, both with "big" AAA productions and smaller indie games.
I tried a videogame of the first category (The Walking Dead), I liked it and I'm willing to try other games of this developer, but in the second one is much more difficult trying to orientate oneself.
So, thanks for the suggestions, and a more punctual question: is there any indie, recent, DRM-free, sold by GOG or directly from the developer, graphical adventure you would suggest in this mare magnum of titles?
P.S: I have already played every Amanita Design videogame!
