thatjayc: Should I do the 5 for $10 deal on GOG or wait to see what steam has to offer? And for a sort-of noob PC gamer - which games on the 5 for $10 GOG special should I get?
Yes, you should

Whatever you do, make sure you pick up Trine.

I have written a review about it on the Gamepage so check that out if you want to know more about the game.
Thank you everyone for the excellent feedback on the GOG 5 for $10 deal.

So I ended up purchasing To the Moon, UpLink (to satisfy my fantasy of becoming a hacker after watching the movie Hackers when I was a teen), Torchlight, GenForge 1-5 and Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

Many of you recommended Trine, which I failed to mention I already purchased on Steam with its last sale. And after reading reviews on Spacehem - I was in fear of not understanding the game, especially being a noob PC gamer.

Good choices. I was actually pleasantly surprised by Uplink, it's really a lot of fun, and it definitely captures that movie hacker feel.
heh, they still managed to get me with KOTOR 2.

And on second thought, I'll probably get the DLCs of Orcs must die 2, should they be on sale. I'm feeling in the mood after Defender's quest.

I think you guys should go look at the Zeno Clash price
Wasn't planning to buy anything, but ended up with KOTOR 2; it can hardly get much cheaper, and it's one of the few Bioware* games I haven't played yet. Although, I feel that KOTOR 1 is pretty over-rated, and I always hear that KOTOR 2 is worse, so we'll see.

* Not really but whatever.

Who doesn't have Zeno Clash already?
Well, I feel like Steam is taunting me. KOTOR2, one of the few Steam games I'd like to get in the immediate future, on sale for very cheap and me with no money? Well played, Steam. Well played. Revenge will be mine.
(Copy pasting from gaming deals thread)

mm, that was what I started doing. not very handy though. If I was an indie participating in this sale I would be a little miffed. oh,well, nothing else to do then start trawling... and see if Didimatic is still up...

Don't look at me, I've had it for over five minutes now.
Guys guys guys guys.

Get Intrusion 2. It does Metal Slug better than Metal Slug does Metal Slug.

You get to ride a dire wolf, just because you can. It also has some of the best boss battles I've ever seen.

So yeah, that's the real steal for today, I think.
I was expecting all sorts of page load errors and fluctuating prices, so no surprises there.

What I wasn't expecting was for my Wishlist to have completely vanished! I hope it's just a temporary thing, don't fancy going through the whole damn catalogue again.
Ha - my trawling experience was cut short "The Steam Store is experiencing some heavy load right now. Please try again later."

I think Cargo Commander was 75% off, if it is get it. One of the better ones.

Also E.Y.E. for £1.something, if you do not have it
