As you may know, the main (first) posts for the threads of the group (Information & Invites thread, Giveaways thread) on GOG.com have some information that is obsolete. We can't directly update these because long story short, the person who made those no longer visits this site and doesn't want to be contacted anymore. Although early this year we contacted a moderator (the good JudasIscariot) to transfer the ownership of those posts, that's not possible but he could update the information for the main post in this thread. But we don't want to always bother the GOG moderators for this, so after some thoughts and comments received that may lead to confusion between the members, we decided that we will let the members of the group decide what to do next, but first you should know:
• The page of the group on Steam (
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/GOGGIFT ) is and always be updated, and any information related to the group can be found there or from there.
• In case of any doubt, you can always ask in this thread for help and information.
Now the question is:
Should we create two new threads so we can always update the main posts when necessary, or we keep the current threads? We will left this decision to the members, so here's is a poll you can visit to vote:
http://strawpoll.me/4644411 The poll will be open for at least a week, so you have plenty of time to think and vote ;)
The options in the poll are:
#1) "Yes, two new threads should be created."
If this option wins, two new threads will be created to handle Information & Invites and Giveaways, as we do now. The old threads may be kept as a source for old data (info, links, comments, etc.), but will no longer be used for their former purposes (a final post with links to the new threads will be posted at the end of those as a reminder).
#2) "No, let's keep the current threads."
If this option wins, everything will be kept as now, with the old main posts still the same.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and vote. If you want to comment after voting, you can do it in this thread.
