Thanks for the invite! I'll go check out the rules right now.
Just a reminder, guys.

**Make sure all won gifts are redeemed to your SteamGifts account (the one you used for the giveaway).**

May I join?

Your existing member genkicoll recommended the group to me and after reading the rules it sounds just like what I looking for.

Thank you.
I am still new here. So far I made a giveaway of one non-bundle and two bundle games. How is the clubs stance on bundle games? Are they welcome? Do they count in relation to rule #10 and #11?

It doesn't really matter, any game -bundled or not- is always welcomed in the club. The important thing here is sharing, and that has always been an important matter in this group. Some members can share more than others, so it's up to each member when and what they can. If you can that's great and always thanked, and if you can't that's also okay and understandable. But we also take very seriously the "leeching", those who're just winning and still entering for more free games without giving something back, and without taking in consideration the rules and other members, so all members are checked from time to time. At least this is for now... We also want to balance this more because every member has the right to win, so some important changes are being planned right now for the better of the group. But don't worry about that because gifters wouldn't be affected ;)

Sure! Welcome to the club ^_^
Group invite sent via Steam ;)

By the way, that's a nice trick with that beautiful background in your Steam profile ^_^

As I said early today, this group is known for being very friendly with their GOG members, it's about sharing. But after some years this also attracted some leechers thanks to the lack of rules. Some rules were implemented to avoid them and to keep the group healthy, but today is not enough. We have seen some members taking advantage of the soft rules, stretching the limits of what should be acceptable. We don't want to force what should or not be gifted, there're no points involved and no tracking of value as seen in other groups. We are just friends in this great community, so we only ask to use your common sense: Do you really want to play that game? Are you planning to play it in the future? Then obviously it's okay to enter, but what we're not going to accept anymore is people entering for games just because they're free to them. We want everyone to win, as I said before this is about sharing, so share the chances with others if you don't really want the game offered.

After what we've checked and read in the reports received from other members (many thanks for those, keep them coming, they help a lot), we're going to introduce an important change for the better. Thanks to the new SteamGifts v2 (SGv2), we have new tools to check and track for activity of members in Steam Groups. Please, take notice of this page and the information in it because it's going to become very important for our change:

http://www.steamgifts.com/group/f2hXw/goggift/users

There you can check for yourself and see how your activity in the group has been. The new change introduced will make use of this information.

The current (now discarded) Rules #10 & #11 are dropped and no longer will be applied starting now, and will be replaced for this new Rule #10:

RULE #10 & #11

Gift Difference: Difference between wins and number of giveaways made.

All new members must make at least one giveaway within the first 12 months after joining the group or must make one giveaway when they've won for a 5th time. Whatever happens first.
Tracking will be applied and will begin from the 11th win.

All users who have won must maintain the following gift difference (go to http://www.steamgifts.com/group/f2hXw/goggift/users for reference):

No. of Wins || Allowed Gift Difference
=============================
6 — 20 || -15
21 — 40 || -12
41 — 60 || -10
61 — 80 || -8
81 — 100 || -6
Over 100 || Attracts a hard limit of -3 that the member must maintain at all times after this

Anyone who reaches the allowed limits must not enter any more giveaways till the gift difference is attained. If you have been found to be entering giveaways you will kicked out permanently.
When you exceed the limit for the first time you will be warned to correct the different within a certain time, if you fail to do so you will be dropped from the group.

Since this is a drastic change from the previous rule, we will allow all users who don't have the required limit, 5 months to make it up, however you must not enter any giveaways till you meet the new criteria.

I will take this opportunity to remember everybody that we also do some checks from time to time to our members. What we check is for activity in these forums and gifts marked as received and activated in their accounts. Gifts not activated are not tolerable here and on SteamGifts. We also ask to giveaway creators if you can check if your winners activate your gifts sent. If you can't check for that let us know. If the winners have set their profiles as "Private" or "Friends Only" we can ask those members to allow us a short moment for checking. Refusing won't be accepted, the gifts are yours to keep and not for trading or re-gifting.

Also remember that since we don't have total control over the first post of this thread anymore, you can always find the updated rules in the front page of our group on Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/GOGGIFT

Many thanks to all for understanding and collaboration.
