Is there no Asia region for Steam ?

orcishgamer: Don't worry, you'll start to hate the way they handle DLC, checks list of DLC (DLC 1, DLC 2, DLC 3), no idea what those represent on the game page, have fun manually checking each DLC during a sale to figure out what you need/want.
avatar
Pheace: Automatically installed with the game without even having to give it a second look? Yeah I agree that's pretty awesome.

I'll take having to look at a list of my DLC the few times a game is on sale and I want more in exchange for the convenience :)
There's no reason to exchange anything for the convenience, several platforms handle DLC now and none of them are quite as stupid as Steam. The minute they change the package id of a DLC (at least I assume that's what triggers it) you lose the actual name. Just go into your Dungeon Defenders DLC list and decide which of the sale DLCs you do not have. I dare you. Their store pages is fucking terrible to navigate, click on expand all DLC, click on DLC (have it, check), hit back button, you're back at top of page, have to hit expand DLC again... the whole client interface is fucked and no, there really is no fucking excuse for it. They could do something as simple as putting a check box next to owned DLC in a list. How fucking hard would that be?

Quit defending the indefensible, shit is shit, and the utility does not have to come with an extra helping of shit.

OmegaX: Neither orcishgamer, yet you "agreed" with him :P
Fair enough ^^ I do think the benefits outweigh the downsides though :)
Has any GOGer noticed if the original Ghost Recon and its expansions have had better deals than the generic Ubisoft games -33 % in the past? Perhaps a franchise sale? The "leaked" lists only show a sale for the Splinter Cell franchise.

Of course I'd rather buy it here, but no expansions :(

adamzs: That Worms Reloaded sale that's currently on is very tempting. Hmm, I probably shouldn't.

Has anyone played it here? How is it compared to the previous installments of the franchise?
avatar
Balazs: I spent a few hours playing it on the "Free Weekend" or whatever it was called. I still prefer Armageddon and World Party, but it's decent.
Thanks for the reply, I think I'll be giving it a try. At 75% off it can't be not worth its price.

Roslavets: Can anyone recommend some good old games on sale that are not available on GOG?
Bard's Tale
Myst 5
Kohan Warchest
Rune Classic
Sin Gold
remembering from the top of my head, there are more.

Half-Life 1 too, obviously,

All excellent choices (well, I don't know much about Kohan, I'll give it the benefit of the doubt based on the rest of the list).

Wasteland (must play, really, pirate it if you must, pay for Wasteland 2 to say "thank you" when it comes out).

Titan Quest is probably the ideally implemented ARPG (The Immortal Throne expac is a must, though the base game rocks even w/o it)

Warhammer 40k The Dark Crusade (get Platinum edition so you get access to more factions).

Diablo

Age of Empires II: Age of Kings (expac was great too)

Sort of. Places like Thailand and Japan get their own specific regions and prices.

taczillabr: Myst 5
Myst V is on gog.
Oops, Myst V is on GOG now.

Yours are all excellent choices too, but if I'm not mistaken he/she wants games that are on Steam and not on GOG.

Diablo, Wasteland, AoE2 are not Steam. ;)

Ah sorry, yeah, most of those are not Steam either. TQ/IT is, though, and is on sale. Get it! Also Wahammer 40k Platinum should be on sale.

Haha simultaneous post, Mr. Namur. Nice to see you're still around. :)

Bloodygoodgames: I realized today I've become the biggest geek possible with Paradox games when I actually plumped down 8 bucks for the 4 sprite packs for Europa Universalis 3. They don't do a thing to change gameplay at all, but at least now I have "pretty soldiers". LOL.
I bought the Crusader Kings 2 sprite & music packs... And I've previously bought all the Hearts of Iron 3 music packs.

Hey there. Yep, still around ;)

mshashankr: Anno 2070 and Anno 2070 Collection (with DLC) are same price....
Price is still too high for me for a game thats been out for a fair while :/.

Anyone else not impressed by the Steam sales so far?.

Or could it be ive already got most of what i wanted.....
