It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all). We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera
DrWevil: 1st one, fair enough, but the 2nd one does work. u just need a browser with good domain name handleing, like firefox :D which routes it straight to the www. addy instead.
fair enough, thats bizzare tho dude.... maybe a setiing has changed or summin. firefox is usually set by default that if it cant find the page, or you just type "youtube" or "bbc news" or anything in the addy bar that it uses the google 'feeling lucky' function to find the page, and its usually spot on! it can be pretty useful, especially for people who dont use computers very often. typical computer program tho, just cos it works in one place, doesnt means it works anywhere else! :D
Instead of posting all the comics i read, i am going to express more frustration and relate it to the xkcd comic. I've always wanted the Freedom Force sequel, but i missed it when it was out, so now if i want to try this game, i have to either pay for it used in sub par condition from amazon or pirate it, which out of principle i won't do. When a game is that old, me buying it does not give money to the developers or anything, so would they even care if its pirated if they don't care to re release it somewhere? There should be a five year period where the publisher has to put it somewhere for purchase digitally, whether its GOG or Steam or Impulse or whatever, otherwise people shouldn't get in trouble for downloading it. To use the movie industry parallel, imagine if you couldn't buy His Girl Friday on DVD or VHS or anything, now you're deprived of it forever. This is how i feel about Freedom Force vs The Third Reich, granted it's my fault for missing it, but now i never get the experience with it because i don't buy games when they launch?

one minor problem with this, is that many publishers actually do still offer the title from their website (I.E. Duke Nukem 3D, the Silent Hill Series on Konami, etc). Many people just assume that the game is unavailable when it actually is. Not an attack or anything, I haven't looked into Freedom Force to know if it's available or not.
I just spent 5 minutes scouring the websites of Irrational/2K/TakeTwo and the official Freedom Force website then searched Google for the game and, lo-and-behold, there are no less than 4 sellers on Amazon selling copies marked as 'New'. I fail to see how you claim you have to accept sub-par copies or piracy. Also, while I realise you are in the US, it didn't take me long to find out that budget game publisher Xplosiv (of Empire Interactive) sells FFv3R for £5.99 brand new on their website. I'm sure an American budget company must've picked it up as well.

Freedom Force vs The Third Reich is available on Gamer's Gate. It's pretty much DRM-free, since the Gamer's Gate installer is a thin wrapper around a standalone installer.

The only problem with Konami's online store is once things are out of stock, they don't seem to go back into stock (MGS Digital Graphic Novel, Silent Hill Experience, and all their older games)

I've seen them in Stock earlier this year, as well as Beat Mania.

Damn. I need to keep careful watch over that site, then. :)
BenLaserLove: The most entertaining webcomic I read daily is Jerkcity
frostcircus: I consider this the only funny webcomic on the planet (actually I like xkcd too)
I....I don't get it...at all. And I feel like I should, I used to do webcomics, but this is just....it's so random that i'm not sure if maybe there's a joke somewhere hidden in the code of the website or something, I feel like there's a punch somewhere in one of these panels. Maybe i'm just too conventional when it comics? QC? Penny Arcade? Sam and Fuzzy?
I was so enamoured with Jerkcity I've added it to my iGoogle. Quite an endorsement, considering I had to remove Word of the Day to fit it in! I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest Electric Retard. It's so offensive you can't do anything but laugh. Or, y'know, cry.
