phaolo: Could it also be for the ratings?
On Steam the game is "Mostly Positive" (7\10 via Google), whilst here it's already 2.8\5 (aka < 6\10).

In general, Mostly Positive in Steam means a bad game, unless you really love the genre or love the specific game.

I still buy Mostly Positive Steam games because some old classic games there have quite bad reviews.
But for newly made games, Mostly Positive is a No No No for me.

I can think of some others that should be delisted for not keeping their gog versions updated myself.

Gersen: Just a question, if peoples decide to keep the game, will it be upgraded to the full version once it is finished ? or will the final version not available on Gog neither?
I don't know if you've got the answer now, but I wouldn't count on it.
Nuclear Throne is an excellent game that was abandoned here, will probably never be updated.

Lifthrasil: In that case I can understand where the 'too much effort' comes from. It's one thing to just upload new patches now and again. That shouldn't be difficult across different platforms. But if they have to integrate their game into Galaxy with achievents and yaddayadda, just to keep it here, that's a totally different level of effort. For comparatively low sales. So, totally OK that they decided to pull the game rather then spend more money on Galaxy-integration that they will probably earn in the end.

SirPrimalform: Like omega64 said, I don't think it was GOG requiring them to implement those features or anything. But people kept asking and I guess the dev felt it was better to not have it on GOG at all rather than knowingly sell an 'inferior' version.
Which is a totally respectable position. I wish more devs would think like this.

Konrad: If you own the game on GOG.COM, you'll of course get to keep the game in your library. You can also reach out to our support team (support.gog.com) and request a refund, or get in touch directly with the developers at: support[at]hovgaardgames.com

Actually if you want to keep the game the devs are offering a replacement Steamkey, cause the gog version wont be updated anymore past 1 May.

They could always come back and try again if the game turns out good and they earn some money in the mean while.

Unfortunate news for us GOG folks, but the whole thing is well handled, especially since everyone is eligible for a refund. Good luck to the developer and i hope we'll see them here again once the game's finished.

I agree. This is preferable to "the Armello situation".
Yeah. Better removing the game now and maybe later re-adding it, when it is complete. As long as no one gets the shaft, this is the best solution for all involved parties.
so, the existence of Galaxy actually PREVENTED a game from coming to GOG

goodstuff

I don't really care about a Steam key, what I wondered was if it was only the InDev part on Gog that was removed (as in the game will be sold here once it finished) or if the game was removed forever from the catalogue and won't be sold here even once completed.

Not really, the existence of users demanding achievements made the game leave GOG.

How do you go from "a devs didn't had the resources to add the same features to the Gog and Steam version at the same time and therefore decided to stop selling the game on Gog" to "the game is not on Gog because of Galaxy".....
