Mortius1: Blame GOG. They had the bright idea to market the Eye of the Beholder trilogy without using the words "Eye" or "Beholder".
For a very long time you also could not find them by searching 'Eye of the Beholder' but it seems they started adding tags, or something with a similar funtion, a while ago.

If GOG is reading this: Good job! I can suggest more tags: 'Xyz & Xyz' names should be searchable with 'Xyz and Xyz' too; the 'Independence War' duo should be searchable with their American name 'I-War' as well.

They changed the game title on the store page. If you search for Eye of the Beholder and open the link you can see it still directs to https://www.gog.com/game/forgotten_realms_the_archives_collection_one
Try searching for Forgotten Realms and you'll be surprised to also find Eye of the Beholder. I wish it worked for Pool of Radiance too.

edit: I should've read the post you quoted entirely. He already stated this. derpderp

One_of_Many: Thanks GOG! :)

(I didn't even know that the EoB trilogy was here... )

Mortius1: Blame GOG. They had the bright idea to market the Eye of the Beholder trilogy without using the words "Eye" or "Beholder".

It was indexed under the more obvious title of "Forgotten Realms: The Archives - Collection One".

They've now come to their senses by giving it a more meaningful name but the old name will hang around in search results, especially since the URL hasn't changed.

Why would I blame GOG? My Eye of the Beholder box always looked like this: https://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/forgotten-realms-archives
;-)
Thanks for even more free games!

:]
I dared to start my most recent playthrough of Legend of Grimrock in old-school mode, meaning with the automap disabled. And I enjoy it a lot! It's a slower way of playing, making me feel like I'm savouring the game a bit more. And I'm quite proud of the auxiliary result: pretty nice-looking hand-drawn maps on the official grid paper =)

Given that, finally taking on a classic like Eye of the Beholder without automap doesn't scare me at all! It's going to be a nice progression, after having gotten my toes wet with a game whose dungeon layouts I already knew quite a bit from earlier automapped playthroughs.

I think giving up the automap (in an good game) is worth it! I don't feel that it's frustrating at all, it makes me more focused.

Renaming the bundle might have made sense, but I can already see an entirely new source of confusion for new GOG customers: why are there Forgotten Realms Archives One and Two, what happened to part One? =D

Robette: Can anyone clarify what the relationship between NWN enhanced and all the DLCs is? Was the DLC included in the original Diamond version (which I own, but never got around to play...) , or is that some Beamdog stuff made later? Do these DLCs add anything, or did they just chop up the content of the Diamon version?
Basically what Clearsong said. All the in-game content of the Diamond Edition that was previously sold here is in the "base" Enhanced Edition. The DLC modules are ones that were available for purchase back in the day when the game was still supported by Bioware & Atari, but which were never available DRM-free (legally) until the Beamdog re-release (Pirates of the Sword Coast, Infinite Dungeons & Wyvern Crown of Cormyr); modules that were being developed for commercial release as paid DLC back then, but which were canceled and later released as free community mods lacking some planned features and content (and still available in these forms, FYI), now resurrected and finished up by Beamdog & the original developers (Darkness over Daggerford & Tyrants of the Moonsea); and one completely new module that ties into a current or upcoming D&D tabletop event (Dark Dreams of Furiae).

Despite what the store pages say, Beamdog didn't really develop any of the premium modules; in the case of the three "new" ones, though, they did provide funding and assistance for the actual developers to be able to do so.

When it comes to the soundtrack DLC, just remember: if you have NwN:EE on GOG, you already also own the old Diamond Edition, which comes with the "in-game soundtrack" as a downloadable extra. I assume the paid DLC version available for the EE has some differences in what tracks are included, and is perhaps somewhat higher quality than the old freebie version, but you will nevertheless have a version of the soundtrack already.

gog2002x: Already own the entire series, but thank you Westwood Associates & Strategic Simulations Inc. / GOG for the giveaway.
I don't think Westwood or SSI had anything to do with the giveaway itself, given that both companies went extinct long ago. ;P

I'm guessing it's temporary, and the bundle's title will be reverted some time after the giveaway ends, but I guess we'll see. :)
Very nice, GOG! Already own all games of course since day one, but happy for those who are not familiar with them and can try them now.
Is DragonStrike never going to be released here?

What is worth grabbing in the sale? I've finished the Infinity Engine games probably dozens of times, and especially Baldur's Gate are among my all-time favorites. I've even some of the D&D Underdark novels, so I do love me some Forgotten Realms.

Furthermore, a search for Eye of the Beholder in the game specific forums yields no result. You still have to search for the Forgotten Realms Collection. That's consistency for you. :D
