TheEnigmaticT: If it's been two days and you haven't heard anything, I'd recommend you PM Firek and make sure that your request got submitted correctly.
But you are! :P
avatar
LeGrandChef: I went for the promo, paid through PayPal but got error 500 - internal app error at the end of the purchase (returning from PayPal).
PayPal shows the money paid, but I did not get access to the games :-(
Contacted support through the website (2 days ago) but haven't heard anything back from them ......

Any suggestions from you guys on how to best proceed?
Try to cancel PayPal transfer? Wait a few more days? Better way of contacting support?
I'll also ask you to either PM Firek or, if you can't find his info, PM me and I'll forward it along to him.

Nah. I'm working from home in my pj's. You can see I'm motivated to accomplish things, if I'm still wearing them at 1.15 in the afternoon.

keeveek: Hmm... I've had exact same problem on Firefox, but clearing cookies and cache solved that problem. Posting via Firefox right now.

DoctorGOGgles: Clearing cookies alone didn't help, but clearing the cache also seems to do the trick! GOG staff must have changed some forum code and the old cached code doesn't work anymore.
It seems quite often the fix for odd browsing issues on certain sites is "clear the cookies and/or cache".

Which is why I always try to set up all my browsers so that they would automatically clear/empty everything they can when I exit the browser, just so that I can automatically expect that it is not due to the cache/cookies. I know how to set up Firefox to clear everything on exit, but apparently I haven't been able to figure it out for Opera yet, as I had this problem yesterday, regardless of how many times I exited the browser.

Quite frankly, in my opinion browsers should opt to clear everything by default on exit. If unsure, give a dialog to the user on exit "Clear everything (cache/cookies/passwords/history/etc. etc.)" yes/no?".

Not only because that seems to clear quite many this kinds of problems automatically, but also because at least in my case there may be several different users with the same PC, even on the same account. I don't necessarily want them to see what web pages I've visited earlier (history), and be able to log in as me with a saved password.

I don't normally use the "save password" option with any web pages and utilities anyway, because I tend to forget my passwords if I don't have to re-enter them every now and then. This has happened to me with e.g. the Steam client.

(and now I'm sure some will call me a "luddite" because I don't actively use such "life-changing features that are just supposed to make my life easier", but these know-it-alls can bite me for all I care. :))

I have submitted ticket yesterday N1MFL09O (and today HDL2H8RT)
I appreciate that there is holiday in Poland but maybe GoG should think twice before scheduling promotion on days when everybody is out of office. You should expect for example more users trying to purchase because of good deal. Bigger traffic and more payment operations means bigger possibility of having issues , queries , tickets etc

I'm big fan of GOG but at the moment I'm not impressed. You are making world wide business here and good support is a must.
My money was taken , I dont have any receipt for that and promotion is finishing today .

Usually GOG will listen and make sure you have no problems. They will sort it out.

I do agree that GOG is a worldwide business, and maybe could act like it though.

If you've got proof of payment, you'll get your games. Apologies that there's been a hiccup on the fulfillment end, but what with the massive freaking hurricane in the US wreaking havoc on our CDN, things have been kind of hinky on the technology side.

It'd be funny if it stoppped at 249999 :D

kork666i: Have exactly the same problem money taken no games given - issued ticket with GOG no reply from them .
Im not impressed at all !
One more customer in the same position. I bought the entire Interplay bundle and got a gateway timeout error after payment. The funny thing is that I did get an email listing the games that I can gift (the ones I already had), but the new games do not show up on my account.

I filed a support ticket 2 days ago and followed it up with more details yesterday, but so far I have only received an automated email response. The issue remains unsolved.

But I do trust that GOG will sort this out, I'm just wondering why it is taking so long without any reply from a human. There is clear proof of my purchase, after all.

Good to know about the national holiday, though. (Perhaps that information could be included in the automated messages as well?)
Hey

Just wanted to inform that I got email from GOG and my issue was resolved .
I can see all the games now.

Thank you very much GOG team.
