I've been reading the forums here, and there is a general feeling across several threads that Microsoft will be arriving soon here on GOG.

What's the current word on the street about this?

Microsoft showed up in the list of publishers along with a few others. Bethesda and id Software were listed and they arrived soon afterwards. Do you think Windows 10's lack of SoftDisc and SecuROM DRM might persuade them to sign a deal with GOG? Or is it all just wishful thinking?
I don't know anything about when or if MS will show here, but at this point I don't think anything is merely wishful thinking. Even Day-1 AAA at some point. Boy is that going to ruin Gabe's day...
The word currently is "no". Anyone who has speculated otherwise is reading way too much into some things that MS have said about certain older DRM schemes not working on Windows 10, and assigning way too much significance to the fact that MS appears in GOG's list of publishers (its been listed there for years).

Gabe might actually have to release Half Life 3 then.. O.O
I hope it gets cleared on this topic once and for all.

I have said it many times so I hope it sticks.

I invest in Microsoft. I'm not a big time investor just a small time investor I have 10 shares of Microsoft stock for a few years now and every time I go in my investment firms chat a lot of us small time investors keep asking if Microsoft will ever release their video games for sale on gog.com. Even some big time investors, not 1% investors, but some big time investors bigger than me ask it.

Microsoft does listen to us, but they don't have to answer our questions if they don't want to that is only the 1% who are on their board who can get the answers.

Is this a good enough answer?

Then laugh in our faces and release PINOCHET 4?

I don't want any palpitations in the future you know?

Bethesda's list appeared two weeks before they came here. Microsoft's, Konami's and Namco-Bandai's lists appeared back during the site's redesign (September 2014). There are currently no further indications that Microsoft will be coming to GOG soon.

Oh, hell yes, I'd love some Freelancer on GOG!

Why do I bother telling people on the gog.com forums that I invest in Microsoft and ask them about gog.com in my investment firm's chat, when people on gog.com ignore me.

I think I should just keep my mouth shut from now on that I invest in Microsoft and in the stock market in general.

I own 10 shares in Microsoft.
The word is "alabaster", I don't know why but it fits the equation!

Although it is interesting to hear that you invest in MS, the fact that you asked about GOG and didn't get an answer tells us nothing we didn't already know, which is basically nothing.

I got an answer they say stuff like we are listening to your feedback or are looking into it for business opportunities, etc. The only thing is I'm not on their board and I don't know any of their secrets and if I did I would not be able to speak about it because of Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA's).

Also there was the SafeDisc and SecuROM issue with Microsoft not allowing it on Windows 10 and they mentioned gog.com in that article.

So you got a "brush off" answer that still tells us nothing. "We're listening to your feedback" is just a nice way of saying "We don't even have the time or inclination to consider what you are asking". They gave you a pat on the head and sent you on your way, that's all.

Blocking SafeDisc and SecoROM is no indication that they are leaning towards GOG. Both of those DRM schemes have been glaring security holes in Windows for years, so bad that even SafeDisc and SecuROM themselves no longer support the version(s) Win 10 blocks and haven't for a very long time. Modern versions of both do work just fine on Win 10.

I know. Anyways I will remain a believer that Microsoft will appear on gog.com to sell some of their classic video games on gog.com before 2015 ends :).
