X3R022: Sorry tinyE and Nirth, that's my fault. I included my marital status in my first comment. My 1st game I bought? Hmm. I'd probably have to say Star Wars: Dark Forces or Star Wars: X-Wing vs Tie Fighter. I didn't really buy a lot of games in my youth cause I never had money really. All we had to play on was a computer, so I didn't get into console games until MUCH later.

The 1st game ever played is quite a good idea though.

tinyE: XD don't worry about it! It's your thread and you have as much right as anyone to post and or ask whatever you want. I'm happy for you that you found a fellow gamer to share your life with, that is too cool! If I ever do find myself a GF I'm going to have to keep her away from here because she will see my Postal, Blood, Carmageddon collection and run like hell. :P
Ha ha ha, not if she's awesome, she won't. :D

I love the consideration for one another on this forum.

:-)
26 here..
35, single, quite jealous of OP's 'gamer wife' but still recovering from the 6 year relationship I just got out of, recovering from 2012 in general really - it was probably the worst year of my life!

stonebro: I'm 30 and I think marriage is for wimps.

Potzato: Same same. My cloning laboratory is almost up, I'll soon be the proud owner of a bunch of replicated me-sons.
Heh! though you were going to go with
"Bunch of replicated (insert name of goddess like female here, lets go with... Jeri Ryan, because huge geek forum) sex slaves"
then!

27, in a long-term relationship with a gamer who has totally different gaming tastes than me (I play for plots and scares - adventure, RPG, any kind of gaming horror; she plays for joy of playing - casual, puzzle).

Rodzaju: I'm going to hit 40 this year.
My wife thinks games are a waste of time :(
But the kids are avid players.
My 9 year old is into Blood bowl.
He liked watching me play Hotline Miami until my wife saw it & had a fit!
My 8 year old is into Dungeons of Dredmor.
My 5 year old plays a lot of Angry Birds, but I'm hoping he'll grow out of it.....
My 3 year old likes to watch whatever is being played!!
Holy hell. I always thought you were like 22-23.

I probably act like it.
Or maybe 12-13.....
23 here, but sadly my girlfriend doesn't like games.

I told her the whole story of To The Moon in about half an hour and she got a bit emotional, but she didn't show any kind of interest in playing it at all...I guess you'll have a hard time making people play games if they haven't grown up doing so.
24, soon to be 25, and engaged. My fiancee has a passing interest in games, but little more than that. She loves the Zelda series and has beaten Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and we're playing through Twilight Princess at the moment. I've had a hard time getting her into more games than that. She loves Animal Crossing though.
I'm 21, soon getting 22, been hanging around computers since '94 (was the first kid in my town to get one)
Many girls don't like games in my country, they think they're for kids, so I have to hide my powerlevel pretty often when women are around, fortunately the gf likes adventure games and I recently got her to play Dreamfall and Monkey Island

Don't really remember my first game I bought from here, was probably Arcanum or Heroes III
I'm 28
26' Single & No children.
27 - im a baby :)
