Narakir: Could we talk about the game itself for a change ? I believed for a second I was in the youtube comment section and not very surprised to see a Mac-fanboy feeling so entitled about something.

If the creator can get more people to try this, I'm pretty sure he'll get the attention he deserves, especially if he keeps his promises. I've never seen such a huge content for a game, its looks so rich and deep, The only downside for me is the quite slow combat, the game also desperately needs an actual manual.
Will Cleve live long enuf to finish it & will us buyers still be interested (or alive...) when it happens?
Grimoire will never be a finished game worth playing and Cleve Blakemore has stolen money.

This is how it stands today and based on 17+ years of bullshit odds are it isn't going to change.

Retracting my other comments about this vaporware, it's bug infested super demo, etc.

I hope this post settles any questions about the download: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/grimoire-superdemo-available.75724/page-193#post-2941860

"To make it clear for the severely autistic, the superdemo is free for all to download and play. It is the biggest chunk of the game I am going to give away for free and it is a game in it's own right. It is good publicity and will also help clean out any remaining bugs."

dirtyharry50: Sorry, I don't think anybody else in the world is actually playing Grimoire seriously except for those people.
So.. what do you mean exactly? Is it a bad thing to play this game? Why? A good one? Why? Which is it? I'm not sure I get you.
Uhhh, you were/are not really bitching, because people went against the developer's wishes. You got your knickers in the twist, because something was not exclusive enough for you?
Ehhh, well Cleve has always been like that. This is the same guy who claimed that in the 90's he worked on a secret Sir-Tech project in Australia to make Wizardry 8, where he was forced to work for starvation wages for the project lead who was a deviant homosexual and wasted the development money to recruit street kids as prostitutes, before submitting himself to a mental institute. Also something about having to walk through waist-deep piles of dildos and said homosexual lead dev forcing him to put monsters into the game that looked like human genitalia.

The guy constantly mixes strange and outrageous things in with what he says, it's his online persona. If you can't ignore all the crap he says on the internet enough to enjoy a computer game he happened to make I guess that's it.

Actually, all that is true. More or less and/or exaggerated, but true nonetheless.

Oh, it's from the RPG Codex, those people that dare play games because they're games, not because they're in love with the creator or for some other political agenda. I know, horrible people.

Cleve was actually proven right on that Wiz8 stuff. Epic thread here: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/why-did-sir-tech-go-bankrupt-ebay-auction.53695/page-39

dirtyharry50: In any case, there is no issue now whatsoever with the link being posted here or anywhere else because the developer sanctions it. What may be an issue for some backers such as myself is that he lied to us and then called us autistic (which is a really inappropriate use of that term) for being foolish enough to believe him.
Who are these "us" you keep mentioning? Let's face it, it's YOU!

Seriously, how great is this? The guy who's PUBLIC DEMO you so galantly (more like rudely) defended here from all us evil THIEVES insults you worse than anyone else did for being utterly wrong!

Can't remember a flamewar that resolved so quickly and clearly! But yet... chances for an apology? ZILCH!

Pretty much. I backed his first drive for a hundred based on the old beta alone - and I'm glad I did - and I think it would have been a stupid move to keep the "superdemo" away from the public.
Does dirtyharry50 even gets the point of a demo/shareware ? "Paying customer-exclusive demo" ? Seriously ?

And anyway, the rant about the NASA-echelon-orbital-whatever operated DRM should have given away that posting the download link publicly while writing below that it was "exclusive to pledgers" was nothing but deadpan. I'm terrified at how literal people can be.
