Make your purchases in PLN, CAD, CHF, NOK, SEK, or DKK

Today we are adding six new local currency options to our store. From now on, if you are making purchases from Poland, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, or Denmark, you will be able to pay in your local currency, i.e. PLN, CAD, CHF, NOK, SEK, or DKK, respectively.

If you live in one of these beautiful countries, you're already able to choose between USD and EUR. Now, you get a third payment option: your local currency. Any store credit you may already have in USD or EUR remains unchanged and can be used for future purchases made in those currencies.
For more information on how our store credit works, check out this FAQ.

You can easily switch between your currency options using the drop-down menu at the website's footer or by going to Account → Orders & Settings → Account and Locale.

Having more options is always useful and a familiar currency can go a long way towards helping you plan your gaming budget. Now, you can do your DRM-free shopping in eleven currencies : USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, RUB, PLN, CAD, CHF, NOK, SEK, or DKK. Enjoy!
Here in Italy a corrupt wheeler-dealer used to pay in.. girls XD

Feallan: Why? Because the number is lower? :D
Not the number, the amount seems to be lower.
Finally!

With PLN going further down with every new brilliant idea of our government my purchasing power on GOG was constantly diminishing...

Thanks a lot!

LucianX: Any chance we'll see more Eastern European currencies soon? Like...I don't know...RON...Pretty please? :D
This is all very cool but.... i noticed before that eventhough the EU is getting bigger and bigger...

why do so many EU countries still have their own currency?

The EU is not very stable (google for it) so what would GoG do in the unlikely event that some countires would leave EU? and return to their old currency ?

suppose the NLG or dutch guilder would be restored again? that currency was pretty stable, its funny that most less stable currencies with very low exchange values still exist and the dutch guilder was wiped out of existence.

so basically the EU countries still having their original currency would notice no real chances in case of an exit out of EU.
This proves that the netherlands took a great risk in dumping the guilder in favor of the EU, i thought the general idea of one big EU wont mean all to have the euro as a currency, seems the EU is not that unified as they think they are, since most countries were wise enough to keep their own currency.
the francs had low value , the italian lire aswell so these kinda benifited when the EU arrived, i thing the netherlands are off worst of all the countries who were so wise to keep their own currency, which shows that the dutch government isn't that smart, and that shows the other EU countries which still have their original currency are smarter than the dutch.
This makes me feel quite dumb, beiing dutch.

gamesfreak64: why do so many EU countries still have their own currency?
Because they can set their own fiscal policies rather than relying on Brussels :) There are quite a number of reasons but I know I heard that fiscal policy was one of them :)

maybe, but your country kept his currency, hungary als kept his currency, some other countries also kept their currency
so basically imho your governments are smarter then the Duch, when EU tells us to jump, we ask how high :D
Anyways its good to see some countries have guts and stick to their original values.
PLN = THANK YOU!!! :D

Thanks for the answer... seems we dutch cant set anything .....
so we were right all the time.... we knew that countries like Poland and Hungary were smartter then us Dutch....
well i admire you for that and i think many dutch people admire you aswell.... our government bows to every demand of the EU.... they accept every term even before they have read it , cause all things done by EU will only benfit our country so basically were the laughingstock of Europe.

We are probably the only country which has a leader that laughs all problems away, there are tons of posts on the internet showing he always has the silliy laugh.... before the current MP we had a guy that looked like harry potter
and now we have the grin...

I googled and it seems poland sued the Eu : Poland plans lawsuit against EU over MSR
i didn't know that ....
Did you ever won a sue? we havent, there's a recent sue against our MP, yes again... theres tons of petitions asking him to leave but he stays so much for our democracy.
Thats why many dutch just wont vote anympre cause its no use, i think we do have a democracy but a k seems to be letft out ( Demockracy ).

one odd question though: how is the tap situation in your country ? seems the dutch are worlds best tappers and in 2017 they will start tapping the living daylights out of us, and its no beer they be tapping :D

This is quite nice, while I appreciated having the option to pay in Dollar (rather than Euro only) it's even better to pay in SEK :)
PLN at GOG. Such a glorious moment, Steam doesn't even have that and it's stuck to the bullshit EUR for a long damn time.
