But I guess the point is....what happens to DLC or other downloaded material when the swtich gets thrown....
I had the misfortune to have Dead Island on Steam. I have played it numerous times and the game (reportedly a bugfest) has never caused me any problems, Steam buggered up my game saves twice and now even the game itself wont even start (not just for me, but for many people), in the end I got a cracked version and it works fine for me.
But it got me thinking about my Downloaded games, since then I have replaced my Steam games (didnt have many anyway tbh) with console versions, I feel better now that I have something tangible and not some imaginary virtual property.
I have a good few gog's, but they are mostly replacements for my originals, so if gog goes (hope not!), I'll still have most of my stuff and have to get my ass in gear and hit fileplanet etc. for patches.
But I wont be buying d/l games any more, as for DLC, well its minor stuff compared to the original games to me and its loss wont bother me too much.
