xxxIndyxxx: Harbinger: probably the best but good luck running it on modern hardware(i heard it has alot of issues, but correct me if i'm wrong)
Has no issues. I installed the GG version just a few days ago, it works fine if you run the installer in compatibility mode.

Good to know! Thank you.
Okay, so I dug into my closet and found my copy of Zax and blew the dust off and reinstalled it and tweeked it and now I have to say that it might actually be worth the money. I forgot how fun the shooting system was being able to run around and blast things in any direction.

I'd like to pause for a moment and say from the bottom of my heart that I HATE ALL OF YOU! In the past month I have spent $100+ on GOG games and because of you people I am currently playing NONE of them! No, I'm playing a sci-fi dungeon crawler that is older than a lot of the people who hang out in here.

Before you send my nasty replies check your sarcasm detector, it appears to be on overload! :D
Aha - I knew I'd played something that footed the bill but I couldn't think what, finally remembered:
Aitken's Artifact
http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/sanity-aikens-artifact
Its present day/near future superpowers, comic bookish but that's still a kind of Sci-Fi right?
God knows where you'd get a copy these days and, unless you stumble across it I'm not sure its worth much hunting but I played it all the way through anyway...

That looks like a slightly nicer more complex version of Take No Prisoners which is great fun but a pain in the ass when it comes to getting lost.

Thespian*: Like the first Diablo? Alien Shooter 2: Reloaded, here on GOG.

ShaolinsKunk: Checked out the page, looks really awesome.
It's awesome. :D

I chose it as prize from a giveaway hosted by Detlik (thanks again, mate!), during the Xmas sales, and it was a very good choice. :)

While I was playing it, it continuously reminded me of the first Diablo (including the huge hordes of enemies). It's a mindless, amazing slaughter of aliens monsters, a hell of a fun. I didn't stopped until I end it (both the main game and one of the really hard alternative modes, the other two were just impossible).

BTW, I wish for the Zombie Shooter series to finally arrive to GOG. The gameplay of Alien Shooter 2 plus the Zombies background (I'm a great fan of the genre) is a sweet combination that I'm looking forward to play. :)

Yeah, the Zombie/Alien shooters games are really nice time-killers... I only wish I could play it using gamepads...

I wonder if you've played Alien Shooter (the first installment)? If it's the case, please tell me: worth buying it if you've already played its sequel/remake, AS2: Reloaded?

Have you tried using some software that converts keystrokes into commands for a gamepad (i.e. Xpadder and such)?

I think I have it on my harddrive somewhere. It is great IF you don't have AS 2. It's basically just an older version of AS2, lesser graphics/bad guys/settings etc etc etc. I love these games but make no mistake, they are more or less updated Space Invader games, shooters with little else. Then again I only ever played the demo for AS2 so maybe the whole game has some far out extras a missed; when I bought it from Amazon it never worked so maybe I'm missing something.
I don't know... this?

I don't really know if it's worth, I remember playing a bit of both games, aliens and zombies...
And you know what? Is fun! But it's all the same game to me... I have yet to start the sequels...

The problem with that is binding the mouse to the analog stick...

Haven't played either but isnt Alien Shooter Revisited actually the remake of Alien Shooter and Alien Shooter 2 reloaded is the sequel?

Yeah, but they're great for those moments when you don't want to explode your head with puzzless, stats or great tactics. :D

Sorry to hear that. :(
Okay, upon further investigation...

There is an Alien Shooter 2 Vengeance and an Alien Shooter 2 Reloaded. I picked up AS2V from Amazon and it was okay but it got a little boring. Looking at the stills of AS2R it actually looks a little cooler (cleaned up a bit, cooler environments) but I havn't actually played it. I'm totally broke right now so I can't compare the two but I think it goes without saying that Elder Scrolls these arent! :P
