A decade after the last Sandman comic, Neil Gaiman returns to his iconic series with a bi-monthly six issue prequel series. Anyone else hyped for this?

6 issues = about 100 pages right? Does it really take that long to make comics?
I liked sandman, except the last story arch or two (mainly less about sandman, and bad artists).
I'm interested in reading it, I'll wait for all 6 to be put into a single volume though.
I DREAD waiting two months for a new fix :P, specially now I'm spoiled by the weekly Japanese/Korean color comics.
That sounds fantastic. When is the first issue coming out?

Wednesday, October 30th.
Will definitely buy this when the TPB comes to Germany (which will probably be about three months after the series ends in the USA).

Depends on artist and writer, and how detailed everything is.
I think it took that long for a single of the The Wake arc, with Michael Zulli doing art

That, or Gaiman is just that busy. Wouldn't know.

Also, waiting for the next fix is the reason I stopped reading Berserk.

And Hunter x Hunter, am I right? Makes comics for a few months, then pow 1-2 year hiatus~... cry.

Never read that.
Also, same thing happened with Planetary, which was not exactly the most constant comic.
It took like 2 years from issue 27 to 28 or something. Still a good comic, but damn if waiting for the last few was not annoying.

Yea I was interested inreading Planetary myself, never got around to it. Like 25 issues in 10 years or something?

I'm just re-starting reading spawn. I have 1-200, I hope it is a good series. (I like LONG series, ie: 100+ issues)

It's interesting early, when there are a lot of big name writers doing guest issues, and ... Well, you'll see by yourself but getting from one to two hundred will be an extremely daunting and difficult task.

The Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman issues are BY FAR the best. The Frank Miller ones just sucked, unfortunately.
Got my copy. The artwork is incredible and the story is interesting (plus we get to see Death!). I'd recommend it.

Wasn't Death chased after by Thanos from marvel?

I know he chased after Marvel's Death, who also happens to be a young woman.
