Before you guys mention yes they added in option that replaces the tank like controls with something like Parasite Eve 1, Final Fantasy 9, God of War, Devil May Cry, etc. (As in moving the character)

I don't how it works for Keyboard but I played Alone in the Dark and I manage to beat it with its controls.

Also to anyone who will play this for the first time. My advice is to play as Chris Redfield. Because Jill Valentine is essentially easy mode:

1. Jill can get a Grenade Launcher which also can use fire grenades to burn zombies, preventing them from becoming Crimsion Heads. Chris does not get a grenade launcher.

2. Jill has a Lockpick, while Chris has to find generic keys

3. Jill has 8 inventory slots while Chris has 6

4. Barry Burton Babysits Jill alot. Because of him Jill gets the shotgun earlier in the game. And Barry can supply her with more ammo and curatives than Wesker does for Chris.

Finally I don't I just find the acting in Jill's campaign rather lackluster. At least the acting Chris is more tolerable and passable.

Just trust me play as Chris heck you can play as him on Easy mode (as in the beginning of the game the game offers you to pick with "Mountain Climber" or "Hiker" Which is Normal and Easy respectively) If you want a more tense experiance play as Chris also the presentation is better in Chris because Chris for the most part is alone, almost like a Metroid game. (Almost though he does meet with Rebecca from time to time its not as constant as Barry)
I guess I'll stick to my GameCube version. It's graphics are still amazing.

Do not have a PS4/Xbone or a PC that can run it?

Or PS3 AND 360?

Anyone who's emulated this and RE:0 through Dolphin likely won't be missing much.

It's a nice step up from the original PC / PS release however.

I'm glad it's being released - hopefully RE:0, RE:2 & Nemesis will follow.

I hope to see the original cut scenes added - which I had on my old Virgin Win95 CD version many years ago. (complete with B Movie acting)

It wouldn't hurt to improve some of the awkward dialog either =\

I doubt it that they are gonna add the "original" voices.

And yes they did say they are gonna do the same for Resident Evil Zero.

(Now if only they do the same for Outbreak file 1 and 2)

No deal for me without these!

Heard lots of praise for Outbreak.

Might be unlikely being a console exclusive - just imagine multi-player through STEAM / GALAXY or equivalent though!

Outbreak has a zoo full of Zombie Animals. Including an Elephant:

I be surprised if they announce it tomorrow as a Pre Order or at Tuesday as a Surprise release.

But the odds are low since Capcom has only 1 game her and has not added anything else since. Not even Resident Evil 4Ultimate HD edition that Steam has.

I'm pretty sure that my PC is powerful enough. And yes, I'm interested in the alternative control scheme. But since I already have the game and Grim Fandango is going to be released in less than 2 weeks (which I haven't played yet) I will rather invest my money into that than 20 € into RE.

Still, I'm glad that PC users can finally enjoy the Resident Evil which is considered to be the best by many fans. By the way, did Capcom ever release any other games than Street Fighter Alpha 2 on GOG?

Well the best Survival Horror Resident Evil most likely. Because people still think 4 is the best even though they were only introduced to it to the PS2 version because not many owned a GameCube so they missed out :P

Resident Evil is now seperated into 2 camps.

Surivial Horror and Action and Surivival Horror ended with Outbreak.

Nothing else. Only Street Fighter Alpha 2 years ago.
