Totally psyched to see more stuff by Falcom get localized!
If this is Zwei II, then what about Zwei!!? Wikipedia says it is a direct sequel what I interpret as "connected storywise" and I don't like to start in the middle of an ongoing story.
Can anyone confirm if the UI is really as stretched as it appears in the trailer? It's really ugly, so I hope not.
Two playable characters between whom you can switch back and forth, and whose abilities complement each other. On paper it sounds ideal for co-op.
@RedPatrick
If I remember correctly what one of XSEED representative said during E3, they translated the Zwei II (2008) first to see if people liked it before doing Zwei (2001).

That's a pretty redundant name.
Apparantly Zwei (the first one) ran on DirectX 5 or 6 and used some old video codec, which made XSeed's sole programmer decide to nope out for the time being, due to how much a nightmare it would be to stabilize the game on modern systems.

Have you even tried looking at the screenshots? That should give you the answer you seek.
Ah, a Falcom game. Delicious. I'll buy it tomorrow.

The inactivity in this thread makes me sad though. As always, XSEED has impeccable release timing. :P

Don't believe everything they write on Wikipedia. It's just another standalone adventure set in the same world.
I'm not going to play it right away, as Mario Odyssey kinda has priority over... well, everything. But, I bought it, because it's more Falcom.
The HELL gog!?

Releasing insta-buy games during a massive sale!? Are you out to ruin ALL of our wallets/bank accounts!? :)

EDIT:Now I remember this...I'll get it when I can find the original VO as the "new expanded voices" are fuckin' horrible dreck!

The connection's quite minor. Both games share the same lore, and some events from Zwei!! are mentioned in passing, but it's a standalone sequel through and through. The prequel's definitely harder to get into these days, so you'll be fine starting on this if you're interested.

I just assumed they'd show the same thing as the trailer. Glad I'm wrong!
Another great release from Nihon Falcom ^_^
