City management on a titanic scale.

Get Zeus: Master of Olympus & the Poseidon expansion and you can create and rule a mythical greek city for only $9.99 on GOG.com.

Zeus (and the expansion Poseidon) is a city building game where you must manage all aspects of an ancient greek city, starting with a small village, and finishing with huge polis that is visited by gods, goddesses, and Greek champions. Zeus is not a simple city building game: of course you need to provide your citizens with enough food, fleece, olive oil, water, culture, and jobs to keep them happy; this game will also challenge your diplomacy, your ability to survive struggles, and your capacity to earn the respect of Gods and ancient heroes. Balancing your budget with what your citizens want is a key element--and if you aren’t careful, you could end up bankrupt! All of this plays a vital role in your city’s future. And Zeus manages to mix all those elements with a light-hearted charm: a guard is called "Dirty Harricles", sportsmen named "Gretzykles" or "Bobbi Orcas", a pair of water carriers named "Abbots and Costellos", and Gods roam the fields and kill livestock for fun. This is definitely a game that is funny while it’s fun.

If you’ve played Caesar 3 on GOG.com, you’re familiar with many of the mechanics that make Zeus awesome, but the new graphics, housing zones, detailed walkers, and quests and objectives make Zeus a new game in its own right, and one that’s phenomenal city-building fun.

Check out what the gods have in store for you with Zeus and Poseidon on GOG.com for just $9.99!

Licurg: Why would people ignore them? Zeus is a much better game than Pharaoh, at least in my humble opinion... And Caesar is at least as good as Pharaoh.
People here have been banging on about Pharaoh since Activision was first announced. These two, not so much.

Popularity dictates sales. Not quality.

photoleia: either that or they are psychic!
Or they've just been getting annoyed at how often me or ne_zavarj requests the rest of the Caesar III-generation Sierra city builders that (as far as I know) doesn't have any more problems (rights or compatibility) then Caesar III itself does.

Also, AGAIN!? First Alan Wake and now Zeus. I already told you I can't spare much money this month. I wanted to buy this on release.

Yes! This is one of my all-time favorites. I lost it somewhere along the way when moving from my old 486 ages ago. I was excited to see Ceasar III on GOG less because of itself and more because it gave hope for this happening.
Great game, the intro is totally epic also. Proper Zeus laying down some smack, not the hollywood greek gods we have seen in recent films.
bloody hell yes. lost my disks for these games sometime ago. i greatly enjoy playing this game, building up a city. Building temples and then watch the gods as they walk around, blessing your buildings.

Now minions to the treasury!
Randominion576486: Yes master.
Me: time to take out a few gold coins!
By Zeus and Mars, was this an instabuy for me.
I have the two games on CD,but I am migrating to Windows 7 in afew months and was concerned about having to jump through a lot of hoops to get them working. Now that problem is solved.
I wonder why it took GOG so long to add this after Caesar 3. BUt nice to see the City Builder series has not been forgotten. Hopefully it will not take so long for Pharoah/Cleopatra and RIse of the MIddle Kingdom.
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you GoG for this release!
Ah, bought this without hesitation. Now I am waiting for the last 2 city building games from Impression Games, Pharaoh + Cleopatra and Emperor.

I love those games so much.
I bought it elsewhere two months ago with Pharaoh Gold and Emperor, after waiting for over two years!
I still have my boxed copy of Caesar II (that's right, the second one, not the far, far better 3). Have somewhat fond memories of it, though as a kid I just threw buildings and roads down without thinking. Was a bit steep for my tastes.

Will pick this up if its indeed a large refinement. Also bonus points for taking place in mythical Ancient Greece. Never enough of those titles.

Well played, GOGsters.
I love DRM-free Activision games.
Thanks for releasing these two classics, wishlisted for a purchase soon.

I bet Mr. DrIstvaan is very happy with this release. :)

And you bet right! :D I grabbed this as soon as I could (thus, when I was home). When I was the announcement, I was at my workplace, so I had to show moderation, but I was euphoric when I saw this as one of the releases.
Insta buy. TYVM,Been waiting.

If that is the case, then I encourage you to keep up the hard work, good sir. :p
