You have my shotgun. And my bow. And my axe!

We Are The Dwarves, a tactical action-adventure with active pause and overgrown facial hair, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 33% launch discount.

We Are The Dwarves and we're on a space mission that might save our dying race. All we need to do is combine our unique skills against the alien abominations that dwell in this accursed place. Forcer here is really good with firearms and explosives; just point him to a cluster of ugly aliens and he'll take them out in a couple of blasts, no problem. Smashfist has a volatile temper and a couple of equally volatile axes that he enjoys swinging at the general direction of any slithering monstrosity that emerges from the depths of the Endless Stone. And then there's Shadow. Now this fellow may not look like much (or anything at all) but give him enough time and he'll strike at the most opportune moment - clean, mean, and unseen.

Be smart, efficient, resourceful, and spectacularly hairy if you want to shout We Are The Dwarves at the aliens, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 33% discount will last until September 28, 1:59 PM UTC.

Cecco: And there is another game about dwarves coming, simply called The Dwarves. I can imagine some confusion arising between the two.
avatar
zlep: Oh, well. It will make a change from getting confused between the sixty different zombie games with thematically similar names.
"Zombie Dwarves VS Space Pirates", "Weredwarves of Moonoria" and who knows what else might come if this is a trend.
I am among the confused ones who thought this was "The Dwarves" game. Is there any connection between those two?

Anyway, I didn't know this one, looks interesting, might try it out in a good price drop.
Wishlisted for now. There are rumblings about new EA releases tomorrow so we'll see what happens then. Looks interesting though.

amok: It has also been bundled once, in the Steamy Summer Bundle from IndieGala.... knew I had seen it somewhere...
Yep got mine from there, The control was awful and annoying back then just played about 2 hours thus far. I think they're already fix it, Because it passed and release on GOG now.

I approve. We’ve knee-deep in dwarves right now. Dwarf Fortress, Total War: Warhammer, A Game of Dwarves, The Dwarves, We are the Dwarves, The Dwarf Run, and the classic British sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf begins a new series tomorrow. You can never have too much Dwarf.

No, The Dwarves is based on a series of books by Markus Heitz. It's a traditional fantasy RPG.

We Are The Dwarves is a real-time tactics game with a sci-fi setting. As far as I'm aware it's an original concept and not based on any particular books or games.

I made the very same mistake. I kickstarter backed the one you pointed to so immediately checked my account to see if I could redeem on GOG, only to release it wasn't released yet.

New Series of Red Dwarf. I had no idea, I'll have to keep an eye out for it now.

Meg ne vedd! Ha ingyen adnák se ér a játék semmit. Remélem az ilyen fejlesztők mennek a kukába. A játék egy 0.
Hmm .

All the most recent reviews gave 5 stars to the game . Are people trolling ?

Strange. All of them (between March 25th and April 17th) have 3 or less games, but everyone is a verified owner. Is someone creating fake accounts, buying the game and reviewing it?
