Victoria II: Civil War Edition, Victoria II: Heart of Darkness and Victoria II - Sprite Pack are now available. Get them up to 60% off until October 21st, 1pm UTC.

Victoria II: Civil War Edition includes Victoria II and A House Divided expansion.

Victoria II is a grand strategy game played during the colonial era of the 19th century, in which you take control of a country, guiding it through industrialisation, political reforms, military conquest, and colonization.

Victoria II: Heart of Darkness focuses on the Scramble for Africa. Compete with other colonial powers and experience international crises which require Great Power mediation if the world is to avoid war.
wow, this is actually from 2010, basically a good old game release

karnak1: I wonder if there's a remote chance of getting Crusader Kings 2 this weekend.
Crusader Kings 2 ( the base game ) is free to play on Steam , so there's no chance for a Gog release .
high rated

Why not? Make the base game free on GOG as well, then start selling the bazillion of DLCs.

Or even better, publish a Complete Edition including everything at a reasonable price (perhaps once Crusader Kings 3 is released).
I was awaiting this release for very long time. My favourite PDX game from let's plays and streams. The price is litlle bit to steep for 9 year old game, but still happy to see it here. The lack of multiplayer is disappointing though :-(

Or CK III .

The complete edition on steam is Crusader Kings II: Imperial Collection, list price USD $313.36, currently on sale for -59% $129.76.

Even if they made it 90% off, that would still be $31, which the average person would still not call "a reasonable price".

So I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

"Selling the bazillion of DLCs" on the other hand, sure, you'd think they'd go for that.

binn05: I'm waiting for a Stellaris GoG Connect
They did that the week of June 4 this year. Perhaps you were away on vacation.

[Oops, I was reminded below that that only lasted about 1 hour, due to a glitch; sorry]

Hey weird - when did GoG start doing stuff on Saturdays?

It probably has something to do with Paradox hosting the ParadoxCon, their annual convention.

That Connect lasted about an hour until they found out people who did not own Stellaris on Steam could still get the game. Apparently this was due to Stellaris having a free weekend on Steam some time in the past. GOG staff promptly took it off Connect and said they would bring it back once they fixed the issue. As far as I know they never did. Something tells me they either could not fix the problem, or Paradox no longer wanted to do the Connect anymore. I missed out on this one because Connect could not access my Steam account. By the time I fixed the problem the Stellaris Connect was gone.

Oh right. My memory failed and my note on this was incomplete, thanks for the reminder of what happened! Hopefully they'll try again soon.

I have no idea if Paradox is upset longer term about this, but I can see why they might be quite unhappy short term, with Gog giving away their game to everyone when that wasn't the deal they signed up for.

Worst case: they could easily lose some faith in Gog, or at least Gog's implementation mechanisms.

Best case would be they're just waiting for the right strategic moment to do it again. And corporate decision making is often chaotic, generally speaking.

I don't like working on Saturdays. Still, duty calls (thanks GoG it was a quick fix).
The more pertinent question is: why did Paradox start releasing the 2/4 gen on GoG? Super tempting since it's the only game from this gen when Paradox wasn't thinking Pslam 127:5 was about DLC and not children...but I really hate to give those Swedes my money...

(when I say 2/4 gen I mean CK & Vic / EU & HoI)

EDIT:
This version does not support Multi Player.
OK, no longer tempting me. Thanks for shooting yourselves in the foot again PDX, so I don't feel tempted to support you.

I really like the first Victoria, although it has a few annoying bugs which were not fixed. So I am happy that the second game is released, so that I can try it!
