Standalone is a good solution for this debacle..

MUCH better than forcing microtransactions into a years-old original game and killing it's inbuild cheat modes to force old users / old buyers to use money to cheat or use other effects. Thanks GOG.

GOG has nothing to do with this decision though.

Interesting. I wasn't aware that it was a standalone expansion. Since I already have completed Two Worlds 2 and am not inclined to play it again, the standalone thing actually makes this adventure here worth some consideration.

@GOG: Could you clarify how the whole console and microtransaction issue, which caused quite some turmoil over at Steam, has been handled in this here GOG version (before all hell breaks loose in the thread)?
looks good, would like to see a trailer of gameplay. never heard of the game before
I may be mistaken but there was tiny price drop of TW2 Epic Editon? Like dollar but less than two?
Would play it in the future, TW2 and add-on here rarely get decent discounts. Last one was almost year ago and further discounts were lower and lower. Weird, usually it's the opposite. Must be devs/publisher complains I guess?

Don't care much about console disabling and microtransactions (unless they make in-game resources harder to obtain in new version of the game?), it's not like they disabled CheatEngine editing or something...

Seems like people forgot TW2 release when devs said "3/4 of the world map is for multiplayer only". It was fixed with Worldmerge mod (that was the first intention of the mod in the first place, hence the name).

Since the publisher could have forced them to take down the original and only distribute this "new version" I assume talks were made between Topware and GOG before things "could escalate"... :)

Maybe sometime late on a sale I could look into this "standalone", since I can keep my "original" unaltered. Lets see...
After the debacle of this extra content, I can't really see how its worth even releasing it here. I quite enjoyed TW and 2, even though the ending of the second was dreadful, and would have been really interested in it. However the developer has really shown their true colors here and so wouldn't trust this product one little bit.

Not to mention the fact that its separate, and one of the big benefits of TW2 + Pirates is that you can use the World Merge mod to have it all in one space.

The console is in and the microtransactions aren't :)

Use "cotcheats" to enable cheats.

Ending of TW2 - and the beginning of it (which completely disregarded any of the two endings of TW and came up with third version where you lost). Rest of the game was nice, with some very good ideas.

Give it few years and you will have worldport for TW2-CTT engine - IF the content in this expansion is any good and someone finds it worthy of their time. It's not like developers went ouf of their way to enable worldmerge either, and this is upgraded engine, not completely new one. Should be possible with enough motivation.

Oh Reality Pump Studios you are really spoiling us with 10% off for existing customers. If they push for their super-douche approach to this old game of adding micro-transactions into the gog version I will be amongst those signing petitions to have their games removed from sale from the gog site.
So did they touch regular Two Worlds 2 & Pirate expansion? Did they actually update the engine of the main game? Did they remove the console and add microtransactions?

GOG hasn't done anything. This was always billed as a stand alone. The micro transactions were put in an update to the base game.
