What can change the nature of role-playing?

Torment: Tides of Numenera, the wildly anticipated spiritual successor to RPG legend Planescape: Torment, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com!

Welcome to the Ninth World. Built upon eight previous instances of civilization, it is littered with remnants of powerful technology, whispers of ancient knowledge, and echoes of amazing feats of magic. These Numenera shape the lives of the current generation, giving birth to epic stories, deep, interconnected narratives, and fierce turn-based battles. Cast right in the middle of this overwhelming chaos, you're faced with the ultimate question: what does one life matter?

Delve deeper into the world of Numenera with the extra goodies included in the Legacy or Immortal Edition. You can also opt to upgrade later.

--In the press--

"Torment is the weird, wordy, wise, and wicked roleplaying game we've so desired during these long years of heightened spectacle" - RPS

"Cerebral and often disturbing, Torment is a rabbit hole of significant depth, where you can get lost in improbable imaginings of warped realities and existential angst" - Game Informer

"To say that my time with Torment has been profoundly personal and joyful is an understatement" - CGM

I noticed the CAD price of this game has changed 3 times in the last 3 days, from over $60 and now down to $49.99.

Any reason for this? Not complaining as i'm pretty tempted now.

Price-matching with Steam, presumably after complaints/observations from Canadian users.

I assumed that and I can't lie i'm pretty happy about it.

I just thought that was against their pricing policy.

i_ni: How rude of you - It's the other planescape.

Painted_Doll: I wrote that after i saw the top sellers list ( 2nd place )
So an average bulgarian can afford a $96.89 game ?
No, by no means! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage
OK, so my kickstarter key nets me the vanilla game. No surprise there.

$45 to upgrade to the goodies?

whaaaat

ohno

the yogsloth needs to be immortalized

this must be remedied
The wait's finally over, huh? It's getting drubbed in the Steam reviews for not doing all of the things that were practiced during the Kickstarter campaign; don't really know anything about that (although I am a backer), but most people also seem to like it on its own merits. Still, the middle of the work week isn't exactly the time for me to start a new CRPG; maybe I'll wait for the first round of patching.
I sure hope Canadians get a store credit if they bought before the price drop.

How do I claim Lords of Xulima? I cannot find the code anywhere. The free game offer was (and is) still valid (it had 5 hours until it ended when I bought the game).

you beat me to responding with a much nicer response

mine was going to be something like:

"if you're getting Torment you might want to learn to read things and discover things for yourself rather than having it spoon-fed to you like a helpless infant because really the answer is all over the frikken place if you just give the tiniest bit of effort"

(:

Thank you for your help! I actually work 16 hours a day (IT and translation), and I was hurrying from one shift to another when I wrote this question in a hurry. I do read all of the licence agreements and Terms of Service, but I decided to ask community for help, as there is nothing wrong with asking a fast question and reading an answer when you arrive to another workplace.

I apologize for causing any negative emotions.

no negative emotions, it's just been answered in this thread even like 10 times and if you took a minute to read instead of type, it might have been quicker for you AND you wouldn't have wasted someone else's time/energy

not that gragar or others really mind, I guess, they're swell and nice and I just am more easily frustrated by the general culture of "give me the answer" instead of "I'm going to find the answer"

It'd be much appreciated if all our Canadians users who bought the game before the price-drop and would like a partial refund of the difference could get in touch with our support team :)

On https://torment.inxile-entertainment.com/ the backer portal; after signing in, select "Rewards" then the "Keys" tab. Check to see if you have an upgrade key. I had an "Immortal Edition Upgrade" key for my "Backer Edition" because I backed a "Collector's Edition" and a Strategy Guide.
