--In the press--

"Torment is the weird, wordy, wise, and wicked roleplaying game we've so desired during these long years of heightened spectacle" - RPS

"Cerebral and often disturbing, Torment is a rabbit hole of significant depth, where you can get lost in improbable imaginings of warped realities and existential angst" - Game Informer

"To say that my time with Torment has been profoundly personal and joyful is an understatement" - CGM

Let me see if I got this straight: as a kickstarter backer, my key only gives me access to the simplest version of the game here in gog, but as a backer I also have access to all Immortal Edition extras directly from inXile's numenera site.

Why?

I mean, why not give me the key to the Immortal Edition here, since they handed me its contents anyway?

It seems rather weird.

Other than that, I'm happy that it finally got released.
Hi. I've bought the game (Tides of Numenera), but I don't see Lords of Xulima in my library. Also If i go to the page of Lords of Xuilma - it is not free. What am I doing wrong?

Zoidberg: Seems like the game is kinda dissapointing too:

dtgreene: Perhaps you should mention in your post that the review is in French so that those who don't understand that language don't waste a click.
The note is in arab. And for most it's all there is to it. :P

kotcore: It's also the worst review I've seen for the game. All others seem to be at least 80%, most are around 89.
So a 90% review is "better" than a 60% one? Wow, I fail to grasp the logic in this...

The note is lower, but you honestly cannot say that the review is "worst" for it.

Upgrade Paths, glad they got it right this time. I'm definitely buying now. Thank you GoG and inXile

Tarhiel: They´re sorting it out, based on InXile´s forum replies.

I also hope we, as a backers, will get the edition of the least difference in content based on how much we backed at a certain level.

So far, I have only the base game on GOG, although I should have Immortal Edition - though they said they´re looking into it, so I hope it will be possible.

Pheace: From what I read, as a backer you get your goodies through the Inxile portal so on GOG the base game is likely all you'll get.
Nope, I specifically asked about this, because many of us would like to have most thingies in one library (Steam or GOG), instead of nusiance of having to go to a specific account for a certain goodie - especially when you´re backed at level, which should grant you the complete edition (in this case Immortal one).

It should not be a problem, since they done it before with Wasteland 2.

Xabyer_B: Kickstarter's key redeemed. Why doesn't this game show like owned?. It happened with Wasteland 2, and now again.

It doesn't show as "owned" so, I can't know when this games have updates. The same case happened with Pillars and Tyranny Pre-orders.

Please GOG, it's a well known trouble, how long will we have to wait? Solve it once and for all.
GOG doesn't care.
Here's the link to the Immortal Edition upgrade. Only the Legacy Edition upgrade was in the initial post of this thread at the time. Neither of the upgrades were listed as of yet on the Torment: Tides of Numenera page, though the upgrade pages do have links to the base game.

Both upgrades are listed as requiring the base game, which I think is because both upgrades are just digital extras such as pictures and game guides. At the moment, it doesn't look like there is a way (as of yet) to go from Legacy Edition to the Immortal Edition other than to pay the same amount as if going from the base game TToN to the Immortal Edition by means of the Immortal Edition upgrade. So, I think I might want to skip considering the Legacy Edition as an option, especially since the strategy guide comes with the Immortal Edition.

Also, both the Legacy Edition and the Legacy Edition upgrade have an image in their description showing the digital extras as including avatars. However, both those pages also do not list avatars in the "included goodies" above the description. So I don't know what to believe about the avatars and the Legacy Edition. Interestingly, the avatars are listed as "included goodies" on the Immortal Edition, which matches the image in its description showing its digital extras.

During the pre-order the detailed specs for Mac and Linux weren't available on any of the three game pages. Now the detailed specs are available on the base game page but still not on either the Legacy Edition or Immortal Edition pages. Perhaps that will change later, but for now the page for the base game is the one to visit the specs on any system. The new upgrade pages don't have detailed specs for any system, instead they have links leading to the base game.

There used to be an "included goodies" statement before the description for the base game with "manual (coming soon)". Now there is nothing at all. So I guess that means the manual is a digital extra available only with the Legacy Edition and Immortal Edition? Buy the base game and hope it explains itself well enough without an external manual? I think that'd be great if an external manual was superfluous. But is it?

It's a good and useful review. Thank you for the link.

For people who can't French, google translate works well. (It swallows a negative in a couple of sentences.)
Seriously, I get only a version with only the manual and nothing else. All the other stuff I have to download from the InXile Torment page(soundtrack, ringtones, novels. strategy guide etc.).

Last game I backed for InXile.

Same thing happened to me.
For people wondering about Lords of Xulima, check the serial keys section on the Torment entry in your library. I think Galaxy cannot see those though, so go through a browser to see them.

You might have to click on the "more button on the game page in your library, there might be a point like "bonus code/serial key". Basically you will get a Xulima code which you have to redeem.

I find this situation irritating also. They said they're working on it though.

Upgrade paths? I see only one, from Base to Legacy.

inXile had an upgrade path for Wasteland 2 from the start, so no surprise Torment: Tides of Numenera is also covered, though in a limited manner.

And extras are becoming more and more pricier.
