Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor
It's a D&D isometric dungeon crawler. The USA release version was full of bugs and an almost fatal uninstaller for the system. The European version, which was released a few months later was fine though.

Hellgate London
It's not considered good by many, but I like it.

Very nice GOG and Activision. :)

Lol, well this was a mistake. Tried playing the game, and yeah... it feels awful to play. The animation is choppy, the lack of sound effects when attacking is extremely offputting, and it just feels... ghetto. Definitely hasn't aged well.

Don't know much about it, but had heard it mentioned quite a few times when I was on my "PC gaming Hiatus" otherwise known was my tryst with the console darkside ;) I'd check it out if it showed up here. For some reason, I vaguely recall it and the first Witcher game being mentioned at the same time.

Anyway - neat to see this game here. I might have to pick it up at some point. I remember I liked the concept on release, even though I thought it was more an "RTS RPG" (think Dungeon Siege). Now that I know it's more Diablo with a mini party, I'm even more intrigued.

That's mainly why I stopped jumping on most everything old some time ago. Hell, there are even quite a few games I enjoyed 15/20 years ago that I just can't put up with anymore.

Yup, it was a fun little RPG that satirized quite a bit and took place in the tri-state area. The superheroes had useless powers for the most part - the leader was the Crimson Tape who had the power of making organizational charts.

Yeah, I hear ya. I mean, I don't remember the game being great -- it was alright-ish for the little bit of it that I played... but wow. This really was a second-rate Diablo clone.

I have the European version and it's still buggy as hell and very badly balanced.

What do you mean by "lack of sound effects when attacking"? Too few or none at all? I watched a gameplay video on YouTube and it had sound effect on attacking. Is there something wrong with the GOG version perhaps?

I definitely agree with you on the Wizards and Warriors + Dungeon Lords - these games should be here as well, those would be instabuy for me :)

Yes, H:London had single player. It was extremely repetitive, i.e. there were two graphics sets, the underground and the city, these repeated over and over. Character animation was shockingly bad. Enemies seemed to number 3 or 4 different ones, though they changed color occasionally. I couldn't figure out if there was a storyline. Quests were "go here, get that" or "go here, kill that". It wasn't the worst game ever made, but really wasn't a good one, or one I would ever go back to.

Another game I would never go back to or pay for again. Dreadful repetitive, lack of enthusiasm money grab based on DA: Origins success.

There are a couple of free versions out there, fan made ones with extra missions and such like. I can dig out the links if you like.


A final thing, does anyone remember a game called Gorasul: Legend of The Dragon? Had it years and never got round to playing it. That looks like a good RPG. And the Pools of Radiance later release was pretty good (ok you need to have the patch otherwise the uninstall doesn't work, and play solo player, but good fun and could have been so much more.).

I think I know of them, thanks! There's also a pretty neat free version of Dungeon Master out there, called Return to Chaos. What I posted above is not a personal wishlist, just a list of classic, modern and indie RPGs not on GOG that I could think of. :)

I forgot about Gorasul, otherwise I'd have added it, too. I don't think it was received very favorably though.
