The Wolf Among Us, a comic book inspired Telltale Games episodic adventure, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 75% launch discount.

The Wolf Among Us, considered by many to sit among the best-told Telltale Game adventures, is a prequel to the stories told in the award-winning comic book series called "Fables". In a world where fairy tales and folklore are real, Fables - those who are unable to blend in, must find their own place in the world. But you're different, you're Bigby Wolf (formerly known as Big Bad Wolf), a Werewolf capable of taking on human form, employed as the sheriff of Fabletown. Your dark, murder-mystery is about to begin. The Wolf Among Us features a greatly improved choice-and-consequence system, allowing you to choose not only what you do - but when and how you do it. It's a gritty and branching story with true decisions and real consequences. Whether you're a fan of the comics, or if you're about to discover it for the first time, you just can't miss out on the beautifully stylized, mature world of Fables.

The Wolf Among Us is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com! The launch discount will last for 48 hours, until Thursday, June 11, 11:59 AM GMT.

DizNL: How good is this compared to TWD1/2? really enjoyed those, but i'm not familiar with these comics.
Will i still enjoy this?
Well, I doubt you can compare them story/setting wise: one is about survival in zombie-infested (sorry, WALKER-infested world) and the other one is a detective noir-thriller with fairy-tales characters.
BUT if I were to compare them simply quality wise, then I'd say that WAU is, while tiny bit worse than TWD S1, still is a great story.

As for comics origins. I never in my entire life have read Fables graphic novels, but I was able to enjoy this game and understand everything. I think this is because WAU is a prequel to Fables (continuity wise).

And gameplay itself is identical to that of a TWD.

Overall, great TellTale game.
So... this one any good/interesting?

Ok, here's one I intended to pick day one. And day one is 75% off. Can't complain.

Story is pretty good, gameplay wise... well, telltale standard, nothing amazing. But I didn't feel as annoyed by super duper critical annoying decisions as when playing the walking dead.

I felt even for Telltale standards this one had very little actual gameplay.
It felt more like an interactive novel with QTEs.

aren't they all interactive novels with simplistic QTEs? I don't think I did much more playing the walking dead. I haven't played the more recent ones, so maybe there there's more meat, but otherwise I'd say it was about the same. I found the setting far more interesting than the others though.
I like the $0.05 fair price package. That's low enough that I can tell myself that it is meant as a satirical comment on the often debated pricing matter. ;)

I liked the setting more than TWD as well, the novelty of that wore off pretty quickly after everything became about zombies. I can't point to anything specific where I thought TWD had more adventure elements.. so maybe it's just that this one is fresher in my mind.
SO excited that this is finally here!
This game is a masterpiece of interactive storytelling.
I can't wait to slip into Bigby's shoes again!

Thank you, GOG and Telltale Games!

And yet they label it as "point&click". *sighs*
The story might be amazing, but I'd like to actually, you know, do stuff. Interactivity and such. That's the greatest strength of the medium after all.
Maybe it's just not my cup of tea, but I don't see why anyone would put plot over gameplay. Telltale could easily improve their storytelling by moving away from cinematic QTEs and focusing on what games do best. Don't just show us the cool stuff, let us DO the cool stuff.
Yay more money down but now I can definitely safely say I'm in the 1000+ game club if there is such a thing. I'll have to buy less real world things for a week with all these game sales.

Absolutely! The story of the Wolf Among Us is set 20 years before the first issue of Fables happens. Between the encyclopedia that katatonicone mentioned and the dialogue shared between the characters, you get more than enough backstory and world development to fully enjoy the game.

If you like fairy tales, noir detective stories, and/or interactive fiction point-n-clicks, it doesn't get much better than this. Especially at this incredibly discounted price. Plus, you get to play as the Big Bad Wolf. I mean, come on! ^_^

The ones who "put plot over gameplay" watch movies. This is something in between, I guess.

Sometimes I'm in the mood to play, sometimes I'm in the mood to watch, sometimes I feel in between. We're all different and have mood swings, it's good that we are covered all around.
Good game, I like the storyline a lot for this one.

Aren't these games OSX compatible though?
Was kinda hoping we would get some behind the scenes goodies from Telltale with this and The Walking Dead, oh well :P

Yes, except a few earlier releases Teltalle offers also mac versions. But it seems GOG gets in general only the windows versions. Checked Teltalles releases on gog, except Sam & Max Season 1 all could theoretically have also mac versions.
