UPDATE: Keep the tempo going with The Soundtrack of Ditto, now available in all its 45-track glory!

The Swords of Ditto, a delightful action-RPG with as many stories as it has heroes, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
As the profoundly evil Mormo rises, so do the numerous heroes sworn to stand against her. Their deeds, mishaps, and unclaimed loot will linger throughout the land, leaving traces behind for their successors to find and deal with. Whether you choose to do battle alone or with a co-op partner there are tons of quests and items to test or upgrade your hero with, so better get started!

liamphoenix: They are different, but all three look good, and I suspect a lot of us are more diverse in our gaming taste than to stick with just one type of release.

For me it's Frontpunk, then Battletech (though I'm watching the reviews as it is patched) after than, and then Ditto.

Of course, Harebrained has screwed us once (or maybe three times, depends on if you count them not releasing the other two parts of Shadowrun as DLC for Returns) with their missing multiplayer game that was only good for multiplayer, so I'm not trusting them like I am 11-Bit who has done very well for their customers with everything they've released.

CharlesGrey: For people who are equally interested in two or all three of these games, the price point could work out in the favor of Swords of Ditto. Frostpunk costs about 50% more, and Battletech about twice as much as Ditto. Unless one can afford to just buy them all right away, it would probably make sense to just get the cheapest one now, and wait for the price of the others to drop. Anyhow, I agree they all look pretty nice.
I'm one of those who are interested in all of them, went with Swords of Ditto because it had a price I can live with and already have other games that are similar to the other two that I haven't played yet. Also prefer playing winter themed games in the winter.
I haven't played this series but the idea of a Zelda lttp clone with local co op sounds awesome.

DampSquib: You carn't, not via the in game options, not that i can see.
Delete the info in the folder

Great thanks for the help

liamphoenix: They picked a bad launch day.

Frostpunk and Battletech as competition...

Poor Ditto.

You look so awesome, but your timing is so terrible.
Most underrated pokemon ever.

In all seriousness, I'm very interested in the game. Kinda reminds me of the binding of isaac.
I'm very disappointed. This game doesn't play as I expected. Somehow I missed that it is a rogue-like. I thought that the deaths are part of the story and you continue after a death with a different character but keep the progress in the world.

Instead it's about repeating all your steps again (in a newly generated world, but with the same content) and you only keep your stuff and level. And the "best" part: Enemies also level up, matching your level when you start the next turn.

I know there are lots of people which find this to be fun, but it's simply not for me, I find it to be tedious and already uninstalled it.

Well, it is more a Rogue Legacy type of game. A rogue-like of the topdown 2D Zeldas.
It's a lot of fun to play. Only the local coop is a bit of a bummer. But you can use something like parsec (https://parsecgaming.com/) as workaround.

Uh-uh. So enemies keep match your own level always? Kinda of a bummer, as I hoped their levels where dictated by how far were you in the game; kinda sad to hear this. :/

I own Rogue Legacy which I simply adore (although I'm yet to be able to advance further into the story, lol (I'm still dying so much, while keeping unlocking abilities and so on), so I could like this one too...

One thing I don't like though is that you can't choose your next character as it's totally random, which somewhat kills the fun for me.

As for the MP aspect, yeah, parsec should do the job for those not too picky about it (and with a somewhat decent connection). I stumbled upon it a few months ago, when me and a friend of mine were looking for a way to play cuphead in MP online, which worked wonders for the most part.

What really matters for me though is...unlocking stuff. I rate games' replayability based of how much content I can unlock in game. I know this game is still fresh, but I really hope it will grow ala Binding of Isaac, pouring with many abilities, weapons and so on.

This is not the case. Enemies definitely have levels that differ from yours. I encountered a level 5 enemy near the start of one of my runs and it was incredibly challenging to defeat.

Fair point. I'm not sure how I feel about the game in that regard just yet.

Oh! So there is still hope in this regard, nice for letting me know :)

I think time will tell how the devs are going to support/add content post release. I want to have good hopes though.

Not related but, what do you think of Broforce then?
We can't choose our characters either, and despite loving the game, I must admit it feels very frustrating at times.

Wait, what? Really? I didn't know that! I thought that you could choose your character on Broforce too. :/
