Thanks a lot guys, 1st day purchase from me. :)

Now we still need "Heretic" and "Hexen" with it's official addon (their Sequels would be nice, too). Please make it happen Bethesda....
Looks pretty cool! Is it using a modified engine? Are there any mods for it?
About damn time :D

look good, but nds sucks! so i'll wait for a 75/80% discount on this.
Is it possible to play this in its original form, without all the added crap?
I rarely say this but, hot damn! I've been waiting for the GOG release of this game. I've played this game for tons of hours as a kid, a really awesome game built on the doom engine. Insta-buy nuff said.

Why do they suck?
God damn, finally.

Question, what source port is this version running on?
*Finally*.

Should be possible to take the WAD files and run them in a source port of your choice just like the other Doom engine games.

Should be running on a very modified version of Chocolate Strife, No idea on mods, sorry.

If by additions you mean with the additions that Night Dive Studios added, would you consider this acceptable? This release does not come with the DOS executable, but the source port should run closely if not exactly as compared to the original. One only needs the "strife1.wad" and "voices.wad" files for the source port, which are included in the Veteran Edition.

EDIT: The original version is included in a zip folder called "strife-dos," complete with DOS executable! I was basing my previous assumptions on the Steam release of the game, which did not have any such folder (see picture below).

cause they're are greedy bastards. i think they'll soon grow up to some kind of ea/activision publisher but with old games.
Awesome!! I'm certainly want to get this. But I have to ask: what took so long?
