Did you set ST.exe to run as administrator?

Odd, I played two 30+ minutes sessions without issue.

Did you disable full-screen optimization? Enabled DirectPlay in Windows? Tinkered with dxcfg.exe in the game's directory?
I can't believe it is on GOG
Total insta buy no questions asked

Klumpen0815: By the way, does anyone know how to skip the three intro videos?
Permanently would be good.
Normally you can disable intro videos via external config utility. But I suspect that deleting / renaming . AVI files will work as well ;)

tfishell: But hey, it's here now and I guess SF still have publishing rights like Mobygames suggested.
avatar
Plokite_Wolf: We don't "suggest" the current rightsholders, just publishers for individual releases. There were quite a few back in the day, USA had Strategy First, some European markets had PAN Interactive (now PAN Vision), Spain had FX Interactive (and that release was quite popular), etc., so it makes me wonder how Strategy First has global publishing rights now. ...
Right, I worded that poorly, I meant that Mobygames has SF as the publisher listed on the main page under "Published by".

Can someone create a forum for this game? I don't think it has one.

Does the game have the ability to run in a windowed mode or are there multiple resolutions to choose?

Yes and yes!

How can I make the scrolling smoother? The game runs great, but when I scrolling the screen, it seems like 10 FPS...

To adjust game settings like resolution / turning off startup video etc. you need to launch STConfig in the installed directory which the default is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Submarine Titans

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Submarine Titans\STConfig.exe

When i ran it initially i had no option to change any of these settings especially resolution as the default is 800x600

Options are 800x600 / 1024x768 / 1280x1024

Is there a setting to make it run in a window?

Klumpen0815: It works in a clean 32bit WINE 3.20 prefix, you just have to wait for the intro videos to finish, if you want to see them (you won't), drag them to the top left corner of the screen or use a virtual desktop.
Also works on Wine Staging 4.21, 64bit prefix, no tinkering required. Oh, and I am able to skip the videos, btw.

There is, but in dxcfg.exe, under Presentation.
I did some crawling and found a back up of the original site!
sadly at first the map downloads 404 out.
so I did some more crawling and found a zip containing nine maps by the developer that were not included with the release of the game nor the patch.

and moddb has the official wallpapers but in common resolutions of the time.
Can we get Ancient Conquest too? It's from the same developers.
