There’s Pandemonium in the crowds!

When a young sorceress, a court jester, and a demented stick-puppet get hold of the ancient wizard spellbook titled "Ancient Wizards Spellbook", use of which "May result in danger and death", you can expect Pandemonium on GOG.com for only $5.99.

Pandemonium is a 2,5D platform game: the player can move in two dimensions but in a full 3D environment, which is displayed from all types of perspectives and angles to give the game a dynamic look. Before each level, player can select a character: the sorceress Nikki who can double-jump, or Fargus the joker, who can deliver a special spinning attack by throwing his talking stick-puppet called Sid. Later, you'll also gain access to fireballs or shrink- and freeze-rays. Apart from that, you can expect everything you remember from ‘90s platformers: many difficult levels, incredibly impressive boss-fights, collecting coins and hidden prizes, and a ceaseless wave of enemies.

Pandemonium came out in the heyday of platformers, in the times of Crash Bandicoot, Earthworm Jim, Jazz Jackrabit, and Gex--which was developed by the creators of Pandemonium. It was a time when gaming was simple but challenging and brilliantly entertaining. And that’s what Pandemonium is: plain good platforming fun that, thanks to 3D graphics and camera movement, is also a fast-paced vertigo-inducing romp.

Pandemonium is top-notch old-school platforming for only $5.99 only on GOG.com.
HELL TO THE YEAH!
wishlisted
I remember this being...odd... wishlisted for now.
Never heard about it.
I remember that my 2MB S3 Virge didn't let me play this gem. Now I can play! Haha you wicked S3 Virge!

Insta-fucking-buy (almost)!

I love this game, but the original retail version was 3DFX only, and I never had any luck getting Glide wrappers to work with it.

That said, given GOG's worrying tendencies to botch releases lately, I will hold off a day or two to see what problems crop up.
Oh yeah, hopefully we will see the second game here as well
Hey nice, used to play the second game (I think) on PSX as a youngster back in '98.
Very nice! I remember playing some demo version of this a long time ago, and I was always meant to buy it at some point, even if it is just a linear platform jumping game. There was just something charming in it that I liked.

I was under impression that the sequel was console-only, but apparently it was also for PC. I hope it comes to GOG too, albeit I don't know if it is any good.

This is so awesome! How did you get this game working? I've been trying to get it working for so long!
Anyways. Glad it's here, so I can re-buy it for Win7.
Kudos, that's a nice one! Never played it, but it seems like a good fit for GOG.
Nice release although i suck at platformers (as my attempts to play alice shows i die a lot) so think ill passs on this one.
I've been trying to get this to work for AGES!

From what I remember the gameplay was pretty much the same as the first with some improvements but the only thing really changed was the charecter desgins to make them more "edgy" and in Nikki's case more sexy
