Coming of Age.

Myst III: Exile and Myst IV: Revelation are now available DRM-free, only on GOG.com.
The saga is now complete so check out our Myst Sale with the rest of the series -now fine-tuned for improved Win10 stability, among other things- going for up to -65% off until July 8, 10pm UTC. Goshdarn classics, the lot of them.

Myst III: Exile takes place 10 years after Riven, when an enigmatic man breaks into Atrus' study and steals the Releeshahn book as part of his plan to exact revenge upon the wise explorer's sons.

The final showdown between Atrus and his malicious sons takes center stage in Myst IV: Revelation. We must once again travel to wondrous worlds and conquer brain-twisting puzzles in pursuit of Atrus' scheming offspring. As in the rest of the series, our choices will dramatically change the final outcome of this battle of wits.

DukeNukemForever: Nice release. I was hoping they would here arrive soon, as Cyan worked together with ScummVM for their 25th year anniversary collection to making them work on modern machines thanks to ScummVM and ResidualVM.

Btw, any reasons why there are no mac releases? Is it because there is only a 32bit version of ResidualVM, which will be a problem in the future due to Apples move to 64bit-only software? It's kind of sad, as they started on a Mac.

Grargar: They are probably coming later.

A Word to Mac Users

Myst started out as a Mac-first title, and over the years, Cyan has always released each of our games for the Mac. But for various reasons, maintaining some of those Mac titles now usually means rebuilding them from scratch - an option that, as a small indie studio, takes time or resources we just don’t have. And for games that were produced by other studios, even that option wasn't possible.

But Mac users rejoice! After some research and testing, and the help of CodeWeavers, we've been able to come up with a solution that allows us to offer digital and disc versions of all of the games in this Anniversary Collection for macOS.

Grargar:
Hey, that sounds interesting. Thanks for the information.

Just curious why they don't use ScummVM already for the older games. Interesting that CodeWeavers (folks behind Crossover and contributor to the wine project) are also involved.
Well now, isn't this a rather pleasant surprise to wake up to this morning. I'm delighted at seeing this and look forward to purchasing both. Well done, GOG. Well done, indeed.
I'll think I'll wait for the KS-version of this. Paid already enough moneyz for the collection. :-P
Grat releases but prices are a bit steep ...for now

Linko90: You shouldn't Myst this opportunity to play them now.

paladin181: You're trying too hard. But God I love that you're involved with the community. You should change your forum tag from new user though.
'Trying is the first step to succeeding' - Me, and probably someone smarter who said this before me.
What's up with regional pricing in Russia? Why its so high?
20 bucks for a game that's almost 20 years old, with absolutely no launch discount and superior versions coming out later this year? Are you high or something?

Vythonaut: What a great lookers they are!

Crosmando: Yeah, Revelation apparently had a very high budget for the time, Ubisoft poured millions into the project for pre-rendered environments and actors ($100,000 on the soundtrack alone) and it shows. Makes me wonder how Cyan managed to get the rights to it.
I'm guessing because Ubisoft thought getting SOME money for it at this point is better than the NO money they had been getting from it the past decade.

Just wondering, do you also manage GOG's Twitter account? The humor is... similar :v
This is bound to come up sooner or later, so it might as well be me... *is confused*

When I click on any of the new titles, "Myst Masterpiece Edition" (which I don't have) is considered as part of the whole series. Where does that leave "Real Myst Masterpiece Edition" (which I do have but haven't played, and it has newer release date so it SHOULD be better, right?)? Or "Real Myst" (which I finished, and it already left GOG since then). Neither is included in the "complete the series" discount.

It would be nice if they could decide on one "definitive" edition, and include other versions as goodies.

And I assume proper sequence to play them is Myst (whatever edition), Riven, Myst 3, Myst 4, Myst 5. With Uru... somewhere in between? Or completely independent?

If every publisher would think like that, there would be a lot more great releases on GOG. Sadly, for some pubs it isn't the case...
