Double the vampire lords, double the fun!

Legacy of Kain: Defiance, the vampiric action-adventure game filled with furious fighting is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

Nosgoth, sweet Nosgoth. Motherland of the vampire kind. It might be a gloomy, morbid wasteland, but it's the only place a bloodsucking, cadaverous fiend can call home. So when a vicious, powerful enemy schemes to invade it, even mortal enemies like the ancient vampire overlord Kain, and the deformed, power-hungry outcast Raziel join forces in its defense. Each of them follows his own path of bloodshed and destruction towards the common goal, but little do they know about the plots and machinations underlying their quest. In the end, it might just be that only one of them will survive.

The combat oriented gameplay invites you to progress and master each character’s unique weaponry and fighting techniques. You will encounter countless imaginatively designed foes and explore a vast and--in its own twisted way--beautiful environment. As in the previous games in the saga, there will be puzzles to test your wits and the solid storyline will keep you intrigued for hours.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance ties provides a closure to the Legacy of Kain saga so don’t miss out on your last chance to become a fearsome vampire lord--heck, even two of them!--for only $5.99!

PMIK: Boo! We want more indie games!
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Very nice! I hope Blood Omen (1&2) will be released too... On the other hand, Blood Omen 1 is rather forever lost

JudasIscariot: I am not my server gremlin's keeper :D
You just couldn't find a more appropriate thread for this quote :).
I've only ever played his on the XBox, so could anyone who's played the PC version tell me how it handles with a Keyboard and mouse? I recall the stupid camera making it a pain with a control pad...

Much worse than with gamepad. There is an unofficial camera patch though (I didn't check it myself).
Nice release! Wishlisted for now, however.

Hm, I hope GOG can get a hold of the two Blood Omen games, as well, and then bundle them together, if the respective right holders agree to that. That would be greatly appreciated. :)

Well i was expecting something from the EA catalogue or Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom .

wishlisted
Cool release, but aren't we missing the obvious?

No point in replaying them if you can't start from the start.
The screenshots on the game card look squashed, as if they are 4:3 images stretched into a 16:9 format. Is that what the game actually looks like?

Game only supports 4:3 ratio, but all resolutions. Only Soul Reaver 1 has a widescreen patch right now.

Wishbone: Hehe, in the above, "you" means GOG, not you personally. Presumably you do have keepers for the server gremlins, yes?
Maaaaaaybe :D
Not my thing, but happy for everyone else who likes the games.

Besides.....I've already bought 2 games on GOG today, so should probably stop now anyway :)
And now something completely different...
where's the Blood Omen?

JudasIscariot: Server gremlins did it >.>
Some staff member accidentally fed their furbies after midnight again? Blast all this time zone confusion! :(
Nice to see an older release, though this one isn't for me. I just don't like PS2-era 3D-visuals. I didn't back then either, it felt like the PS2 was really holding everything back for way longer than it should have done.
