DaimKo: The issue of soundtracks we are solving now.

All depositors will receive their key in the near future. We need time to get them from gog.

shmerl: Great, thanks! Is Linux build coming to GOG too, and why didn't it come out right away?
So this means that when I backed Insomnia a few years ago I get a GOG key as well. Nice. I was wondering about that.

For all those on the fence about this game....think Fallout New Vegas with a, somewhat, Heavy Metal vibe.

There is a fair amount of dialogue options and choice and consequence. It also does not play as a standard shooter but more like a RPG with some shooting elements. As I mentioned above, Fallout New Vegas but it also shares some similarities to Elex. IMHO. Great game and definitely worth it. Especially for the sale price.

shmerl: Nice to see it here! I'm one of the backers, and was waiting for GOG release until now to get it. But where is the Linux version, and how can I request the GOG key?

avatar
DaimKo: Our work on the game is not over and you can always find us here or on Steam to ask your questions and find out the latest news.
avatar
shmerl: Can you please help with the above?

Also, can you please add FLAC to the soundtrack bundle on GOG?
It's already updated on our end, users who bought Original Soundtrack will have FLAC now available for download on their account as well - simple as that! :)

This is one of our next challenges. Now the game has a number of problems that we would like to fix before releasing the Linux version

paladin181: Looks like it is right up my alley. After I finish going through the SoulsBorne series again I will definitely play it. It looks like a nice combination of bleak and beautiful.

EDIT: does it support XBox One Game controllers?
We would advise focusing on standard keyboard and mouse controls. It depends on what the game was originally conceived as a classic old-school RPG.

I saw this game years ago when it was announced but forgot the name, now I bookmarked it.
The game is fully playable, from start to finish, right?

I had a look at a video and it looks gorgeous not just about the quality of the presentation, but also the style.

I love, no, I LOVE any setting of a huge city/spaceship and unfortunately there are very few RPGs set in such a place. I am going to buy this, I just hope I don't regret it.
Ads in a gog promotion video doesn't help selling the game, just saying.
Looks interesting. Wishlisted for now.

Wait, there's no controller support for this game? That's changing right? Between the combat mechanics and the extensive exposition, it screams for controller support. One-handing games like Diablo and Dragon Age is one thing, but I for one can't sit hunched over my keyboard for long periods. I know there's 3rd party software available for this, but simple aim assist and button support for choices are a must, and that needs to be baked in.

Aim assist! Why not use an appropriate controller rather than dumbing down control? Aim assist kills the point on actual aiming when playing on PC. I have no problem with controlller support, but don’t ruin actual PC play in favour of console control.

can you stop youtube from adding ads? (from an uploader point of view. obvs the viewer can have adblock to stop them)

aim assist can be applied to controller use only. controllers generally require aim assist because they're slower than a mouse, but the code can distinguish input methods and handle them differently (although this is why controller support isn't just as simple as "map the buttons / keys" to do properly).

If it’s done like that then fine. I have had at least one game where I was physically fighting the aim assist when playing with a mouse and it ruined the game. Too often these console setup games just don’t work well on pc due to being built for controllers.

Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to the backer keys sorted out for GOG users and Linux version eventually coming out.
