Can I play as indigenous warrior protecting nature from the greedy ignorants?
Definitely interested. The Technomancer was my first introduction to both Spiders and Focus, and I was very impressed with what they were able to deliver.

Mafwek: Looked for game length on HLtB, and it says around 40 hours. Can somebody confirm this?
It took me 45 to 50 hours on my first playthrough.

Sure thing. :)
I'm more of a completionist, if you rush it you can play through it within 15 to 20 hours I'd say.

Yes, the natives have some really cool-looking gear, and you can make conversation choices to alienate all of the colonizing factions. Since the main plot has a decent amount of personal stake in it, you might not be able to be as blunt about it as you'd want, though. But there is definitely a "screw all the renaigse" choice towards the end of the game.

Of course, since your ultmate role is a diplomat, if you do that, you might get a.... difficult ending.
Already got this on Steam, because I couldn't wait to play it. But it's great to see it here on GOG now as well. Definitely gonna buy it again!

Swedrami: I wonder if fellow frenchman Christophe Gans' "Le Pacte des loups" had served as a source of inspiration for Greedfall's setting.
It did, indeed, as can be read in one of the Greedfall Devlogs :)

My "completionist" playthrough was 60+ hours... but I purposely searched and re-searched areas to find every quest possible with my prior actions. You can complete the game in much less but I would imagine 20 - 30.

And did you find any? Was it worth it? I would like to know once I will be playing it myself.

Thank you for the accurate description. It's good to know game isn't too long.
Putting a reviewer's suggestion to purchase on screen at the end of the trailer as "BUY" is ballsy.

The game could be finished in 20 - 30 hours, but I don't recommend skipping any faction side quests. Some of them contain important plot points you would flat out miss otherwise. They are also well done in general, better than some main quest sections.

There are some "Notice Board" quests that are absolute garbage and can be safely skipped. I'd actually recommend skipping them unless you come across the objectives by accident while exploring.

Did I find any quests? Yes, although the overall storyline probably doesn't change a lot due to choices and consequence, faction quests and comp[anion quests do change a fair amount based on choices made. And yes, I did find some additional quests by purposely exhausting conversation choices prior to finishing the game -- there were some interesting threads I'd simply missed.

If you enjoy Spiders' style of RPG games, yes, Greedfall is a very good game. IMHO it's just shy of being a great game. But if you don't like Spiders' style, Greedfall probably won't win you over... although I have talked to a few who enjoyed it without any prior experience with the dev's output.

I agree completely.

If you are completing Greddfall in 20 - 30 hours you are probably missing large portions of the story... which in this case is mostly told through "side quests."

For me, Greedfall's story, location, and atmosphere are wonderful... and the quests (for the most part) are top shelf. But I loved the characters and wanted to learn more about them.

To those thinking of playing...

I would suggest paying close attention to what companion accompanies you when visiting each faction... and... build up your intuition (I think it was intuition in Greedfall) skill asap to get conversations with more branching choices.
