Robette: Hope the question is clear, but does this game have real builds (e.g. like Diablo 2 or Grim Dawn), or do you just pick a class and ramp up what you would expect (e.g. like Darkstone)?
You choose a race when crating your char and each race has a bonus for something (magic, defense, etc)

There are no classes, really. You can spend skill points in the weapon(s) of your choice, dual wielding, shields, the 3 types of magic (attack, defense and utility)) and that's all.

When you level up, as with happened with Tochlight, you receive 5 stat points to distribute in your base stats and then 2 points for the skills.

The result is a lot of flexiblity except in that if you spend points in a specific weapon, at some point it's not worth changing it because the bonus you get in damage. Or that if you spend points in the shield, it's also not worth changing to a 2 hand weapon.
Does Fate: Complete Adventure show up as a singular entry in Galaxy, or does it show each game by itself in Galaxy just like if you bought them separately?

Is the game similar to Din's Curse/Legacy?
I never heard of this serie !
Insta-bought. I played this ad nauseam when it first came out.

A tiny bit of information:
It may be advisable to skip the independent version of the two first games (FATE and Undiscovered Realms), and start directly with "The Traitor soul", because this third game contains an updated version of the two previous games.
When you start a new Traitor Soul game, you actually begin in a sort of hub from which you can chose to enter the first and second FATE games, with slightly better graphics and all the useful enhancement of the third game. From the same hub you will also start the "storyline" and levels of the third.
FATE: The Complete Adventure
Somebody should remove the windows xp minimum system requirement since i think it's vista and up that this game works.
XP users would get a QueryFullProcessImageNameA not found in dll library kernel32.dll
Vista supports that i think at least what i've seen in the pcgamingwiki.

Bought. With Torchlight here, this was conspicuous by its absence.

I never knew that... on the bright side the complete collection gets you all 4 for the price of the last 2 for now... I loved these games. They are the precursor (in theme and style) to Torchlight if anyone was wondering.

These games were the precursors to Torchlight, and are very similar to it.
I don't know about this game but I was sold the moment people said it was made by people who made Torchlight.

So, is there a mod I can pick before playing this game? Is the user interface need to be updated?

Poor man's Torchlight. It might be good for people who feel the nostalgia, because they have played it before, but for those who haven't, there is no point in playing the skeleton of Torchlight games.

Mainly new races instead of human to play (with their own advantages), developed items enchantment, and the ability to equip two switchable sets of weapons.
