Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition, the definitive package for the open-world, free-running zombie survival sensation, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support for multiplayer, achievements and leaderboards, and a 17% launch discount.

As the light is dying, so are your chances of survival. A mysterious outbreak has turned a city's population into running, flesh-eating killers who grow severely more aggressive at night. You are also turned into a runner when your mission to retrieve some sensitive documents from the hopelessly infested city of Harran goes awry. Some people speak of a cure, some worship an aloof, self-proclaimed savior, and others fight each other for supplies or territory control. But all of them have one thing in common: they are constantly on the run.

Master the flow of your swift parkour moves and your weapon-wielding skills in order to stay alive. During the day the infected are less energetic, relying on their numbers to gang-up on you before you can scale the nearby building, overrun them with a buggy, or club them to death with your makeshift destructible weapons. But when darkness falls, the tables are turned: your enemies grow stronger, bolder, and terrifyingly more agile while unspeakable horrors crawl out of their daytime hibernation. Don't get followed or you may not live to see daybreak ever again.

Outmaneuver the flesh-eating hordes and escape your nocturnal pursuers before the Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition wanes completely, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 17% launch discount will last until March 23, 1:59 PM GMT.

The game is not available for purchase in Germany. There are legal restrictions that are beyond our control, and we're very sorry for the inconvenience.

GOG.com: A mysterious outbreak has turned the entire population into running, flesh-eating killers who grow severely more aggressive at night. You are also a runner by nature, a parkour instructor on a mission to retrieve some sensitive documents from the hopelessly infested city of Harran.
Hi Editor,

Two incorrect statements in your description that anyone who has played the game (on my 2nd playthrough now) can tell you:

One is that the 'entire population' has not turned; this infection is limited to quarantined Harran.

Two, Kyle Crayne, your character, is not a parkour instructor, you are an undercover agent.

Don't take my word for it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dying_Light

Ulianov_Bandini: Nice release. Hope more AAA titles are coming to Gog.
A shame that I bought Dying Light EE two weeks ago. If you don't announce the release previously and don't get the release at the same date that others digitals platforms you will lose potentially customers. I am one. I would prefered bought Dying Light to Gog more than to Steam.

DrearierSpider: Quick, refund the Steam version while there's still time!
Thanks for the advice but it's not possible for the hours played.
Alright, GOG. Ya done good.

mobutu: can this be played decent and normal with a keyboard+mouse or do I need a controller?
K/M works great, in fact it's much better for this game honestly.

Wow this is a win if I ever saw one. Nice one GOG!

NuffCatnip: As long as the game doesn´t contain any Nazi references we should be good.

Nergal01: Yep. Techland apparently handle the GOG release by themselves and don't really seem to care.

Strange, though. Wasn't Dying Light published by Warner Bros.?
Apparently not. I had to ask as well :)
I thought the game originally was published by Deep Silver. I mistook this game for Dead Island, the titles are too similar. :P
Fellow Linux users:,

please vote on the wishlist for the Linux version of this game:

A triple A game on GoG? Holy crap! Nicely done!
"Multiplayer is available only between GOG Galaxy users."

And suddenly the fully optional client is a little less optional...
I was expecting Grim Dawn today, but this one is still a good surprise.

I didn't liked Dead Island but Dying Light seemed to be an improve version of it and correct several issues I had with DI. Great to have both version (base game + extension) released on GoG.

The fully optional applies to single player only, as was mentioned in Galaxy's reveal video. So how does multiplaying through Galaxy only make the client less optional?

And suddenly it still is optional without multiplayer...

It's strange to me too because most games prior to Galaxy required a CD key to play multiplayer anyways. Galaxy seems like the lesser of two evils there.
Yet another missing Linux version which is sad :(
I've not been terribly interested in Dying Light personally, but I'm very pleased that GoG has managed to land another high profile title to add to their DRM free service. As someone who is still pretty heavily invested in Steam, I'm really appreciating the competition.
