I know a good number of people love this game, but that isn't enough for me at the current price.
I too have seen the movie and several documentaries, so yes the game does interest me.
However, some of the reviews (outside of GOG mostly) have led me to believe I need to make sure that I will at least be satisfied with the visual recreations of the original ship. To wander about (even by point & click) has potential to give me joy, even if I ultimately don't think much of the game play itself. But certainly some of the screenshots I have seen are off-putting, and I have no nostalgia goggles for this 1996 game, to put on.

So in the end, with lack of data, it is about price.
I'm not adverse to buying it, just adverse to buying it at its current price, without seeing more.
And I am not prepared to go to too much trouble (chase down videos etc) over a game that has not grabbed me enough.
Even writing this, is a step further than I usually go.
If a publisher can't provide enough decent detail, they miss out from me usually.

Well if you believe AdventureGamers' TOP 100 best adventure games of all time list, this game is on that list.
Admittedly, it's on the 100th place, so it's the worst of the best, so to speak, but at least by some criteria they chose to include it, while there are hundreds of games that could be on that list instead.

Just to throw a forgotten game in here, there's actually another adventure game where you need to escape from the Titanic as well, called Beyond the Titanic. It's a text-only adventure, so it goes further back in the gaming history than this one does.

I've done some digging found out where the rest of the tour guides that weren't included by default can be downloaded at. They can all be downloaded here: http://titanic-titanic.com/titanic_adventure_out_of_time_tour_guide_downloads.shtml

Just dump all off the contents of each zip file into the TOUR folder, start up the game and head into tour mode. All 10 guides are now unlocked.

Tours 2, 8 and 9 are already included by default with the game so there's no need to download those unless you clumsily delete them from your folder for some reason.

I've also sent a file containing all of the missing tour guides to the people at GOG too for good measure also. Hoping that least motivates them to add the tour guides to a future update of the game or are at least include them as a bonus extra.

I've also found the original CD-ROM demo of the game entitled "Titanic: The Lost Mission" if anyone is interested in that as well.

Or maybe releasing it on Steam while its Winter sale is still going on would ensure that the game would be completely unnoticed.

Too bad, this makes it pretty much unplayable for me. I've never had much luck with 256 colors restricted games in wine. Even if they manage to run in a dedicated X environment, the colors are always messed up.

Nice classic release. Will buy it here soon.

I love this game, but this copy keeps cutting off the dialog early. :(
