Attach the block.

Block'hood, a relaxing neighborhood-builder with a striking art style, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com.

If you were given all the necessary tools, would you manage to create an ecologically sound network of tenements that would never run out of resources and fall into decay? What would its inhabitants be like? Only one way to find out.
Coming out of In Development, Block'hood brings a 5-chapter story mode, alongside an increased number of blocks, optimized performance, and several gameplay improvements.

Watch the trailer.

I hope not. Some of those buildings looked really unstable ;-).
Nice! Was waiting for it to be released.
In the store page the minimum and recommended specs show this :

Minimum system requirements -
...
Graphics: GeForce 600 series or better
...

Recommended system requirements -
..
Graphics: GeForce 700 series or better
...
What about AMD? I guess it will run on Radeon cards. Did they forget to include AMD specs!
That was quite an unexpected release; i've been thinking about buying it because of the very interesting concept and lovely visuals, but i was on a fence due to the In Development status (even though my previous two experiences with InDev were great and i'm sure GOG would refund me in case the game had serious bugs/performance problems/whatever). Also, glad to see now it comes with little people who populate the 'hoods you design. :)

I bought it during the InDev process before he added citizens (or maybe a major update before that). While I did complain that the updates and bug fixes were taking too long both in these threads and on Twitter I can vouch for the game more as a puzzler, edutainment or form of interactive art rather than a straight simulation. It's one of those games where you can catch up on podcasts, anime or DVD box sets on one corner of the screen while fooling around with it between other games.

I haven't touched it for about two months due to classes (which just ended yesterday) and work, but I'll put it through it's paces and perhaps post my first GOG review. Hope the changes between 0.8.3 and the launch version were stable; the dev REALLY messed up the decay computations in a previous update which made it almost unplayable.

Looks dreadful, sounds almost as boring as that democracy sim released this week. And it was indev. Another fine release.

Personally I think it looks extremely aesthetically pleasing. It looks clean and sharp, have a unique feeling to it and it is very consistent. The characters look cute, and the different tiles have distinct look. So I would say that it looks rather nice.
