Xaromir: I'm stunned. That's quite cool actually, though the price is a litte hefty considering that i can get the regular release for half.
This release you can't get on half price :) Cause you have to buy the OST from Jesper Kyd alone for around 14$ :)
I've already said it's a new direction and I'm looking faward to see what happens, but if you consider retro games to be prehistoric why did you join GOG?

If they keep releasing good old games i don't mind getting couple of newer ones here also,I don't like Steam and GOG is a breath of fresh air to digital distribution market
I agree, newer games AS WELL AS older games would be great.

So the goodies are now calculated in the price? Then this release is only appealing for those who actually want the OST if it's not competitively priced in their region.

That goodie can be calculated in the price yes. If anybody is selling this version for less money I will accept that this is overpriced. ;)
high rated
The amount of grief by people who don't want newer games on GOG is something between crazy and insane. No one is forcing you to buy Ass Creek or any other game, newer, or older. Apparently there are people who are interested in them, and they will get them. What's the problem with that? Someone other than yourself will be happy!!!
SHOCKING.

GOG has already mentioned they will continue releasing older games, so everything is done to just cause noise, aka trolling.

If you don't like the newer games, don't buy them. If most people don't, then GOG will probably shift more focus to older releases. It's quite simple really.

Stop bitching.

That's fine. That just means they're not actually selling AC1, just AC1 + OST.
For all whiners for GOG selling newer games:

I came here for old games and great DRM-free service. In fact GOG made me to leave piracy(btw, if you buy games you will look like biggest retarted person in my country, sad but true) and buy the games.

This is personal preference, i can't say anyone to think like me, but i don't like DRM, Steam, Origin, Windows Live etc... For this very reason i haven't bought even one new game. Except Witcher on GOG. But i also want to experince new games. For the people like there was no choice but, not to play them at all or pirate them and wait for the "free" releases to pay. Now GOG is offering something that is impossible before. DRM-Free newer games! For me this is priceless indeed!
They are selling a Premium Edition of the game, which includes every goodie they are offering. The value increases, just like in evey other special edition (retail or digital).

Then people should perhaps ask GOG to offer a base edition as well? For those who just want the game you know :)
That's what most games do when they have a 'premium' edition that consists of extra's that aren't DLC/Expansions.

They have choosed this direction :) And to be honest if they sell normal AC 1 DC & this Premium version I will buy the premium.
Ah and by the way I don't see vanilla version of AC1 anywhere :) Maybe Steam should add that :)
Let's make an experiment write a mail to Steam and ask them why they are missing the OST from the version there. :)

I'm sure you will, but you're not GOG's only customer :)

Oooh, Ass Creek...is GOG selling adult-themed games now, too?

J/k. I agree that the complaining is becoming excessive. Complaining about FREE Fallout, complaining about Assassin's Creed and other newer titles.

People can't expect GOG to not release newer games. Their whole selling pitch is DRM-Free. If they offer newer games without DRM they can greatly improve sales, thereby enabling them to offer more games, old and new.
